Chapter 15: Mommy Is Coming

The kid was a little bit chubby viewed from the back. He was with sky blue clothes, seeming to be an outgoing and handsome little boy. Even the back of his head was cute. Looking carefully at the picture, Qin Qin couldn't help pulling up the corners of her mouth. She wondered which one would the kid resemble more, she or Chao Sheng?

She wished the kid would have the same beautiful eyes as her. As for the other parts, it would be better for him to resemble Chao Sheng more. Though Chao Sheng was not good-tempered, he did look very good. If the kid resembled him more, he would be very handsome and would definitely be a future heart-breaker. How could she introduce herself then when they finally met later? Which one would be better? Was "h.e.l.lo, I'm your mom." better or "Baby, mommy is coming" better?

Her baby was three years old now and should know something. What if he asked why he never saw mommy? How should she answer? The corner of her mouth gradually lowered down.

Thinking of this issue, she couldn't help getting guilty and worried. She had never accompanied her baby. What if the baby didn't want her?

Soon, it turned 2 o'clock. The park was still quiet. There was n.o.body except her in the park. Qin Qin felt weird.

So was it really a trap? She was about to look for the clues when she heard an ever faint crying of a kid.

She didn't know why but she was attracted by the cry and kept worrying about it. It seemed as if she was going to lose something important. She hurried up unconsciously.

Followed the cry, Qin Qin came to the man-made lake in the park. No one was around, but she saw a little kid struggling in the lake. It seemed that the kid stumbled into the water by accident as he was playing around.

The kid was too little to scream for help. He just kept crying and was about to sank into the lake.

The familiar sky blue cloth and the Chao Sheng's face, it only took Qin Qin one second to know for sure that the kid was her baby!

Figuring out what happened, she felt her breath was held and blood was frozen. Her heart was seemed to be grabbed by a big tight hand, unable to breathe well.

She then rushed into the lake by instinct, despite the fact that she couldn't swim.

It was autumn. The ice cold lake water was like thousands of needles, piecing her skin. However, she didn't feel the pain at all. All that in her eyes was the kid not far away.

The kid was not far away from the bank. The water there was about the depth to her chest. She felt a little bit at ease when she finally touched the kid with her hands, “Baby, don't be afraid. Mommy is coming to save you. Don't be afraid.”

Qin Qin gave first aid treatment immediately when they got landed. However, her hands just shook, unable to do anything.

How could it be…

Her tears kept dropping down to the baby's wet body. Qin Qin bit her lips hard until the taste of blood came to her mouth and awoke her. She tried to come back to herself.

She then wiped off her tears with the back of her hands, put one hand over the other, and pressed the kid's chest with force.

One, two, but the kid still didn't respond. Qin Qin increased her strength and occasionally bent down to do the CPR. It was only several minutes past, but to her, it was like a century long.

When Qin Qin was performing the CPR, she didn't notice there were two people approaching from her back with mobile phones taking a video.
