"Wei Jiayi, we will take Gao Lan Mei back." Gao Tsu said seriously, extending his arms to Wei Jiayi with at an intent to carry his granddaughter home.

"Gao Tsu, as my future grandfather-in-law, I would suggest for you to get out of my way." Wei Jiayi said, murder intent still laced on his voice.

His grip to Gao Lan Mei tightened for a moment, glaring at Gao Tsu with ill intent. There is no way he will allow anyone to get her away from him. He almost lost her.

Just the possibility alone that she almost died, makes Wei Jiayi go on a rampage. Gao Tsu is really choosing a very bad time to talk to him with the intent to separate Gao Lan Mei to her. The limit on how he can tolerate the old man is almost at its end.

His reason for attacking him to is just childish. So what if he slept with his wife? He might have accidentally blurted that out due to his happiness. So what? They will get married soon, there is really no difference.

Why is Wei Jiayi respectful to Li Mao and so rude to him? He never intends to cause harm to his granddaughter!

"Forgive me, but I will not allow her to leave. Ever," he added firmly not allowing further discussion. Wei Jiayi subordinates are ready for order anytime.

Though skeptical if its the right thing to do since Gao Tsu and Li Mao is their mistress' relative.

Wei Jiayi added, "Regardless what you say, I will protect her personally."

Gao Tsu is supposed to respond with anger when Li Mao stopped him gently, "We will stay, then. Because we are her family." Li Mao compromised emphasizing 'we' while staring at Wei Jiayi, with bright scarlet eyes with a challenge, showing her real nature.

"Suit yourself," he uttered dismissively, not really willing to fight his mother-in-law. He does not have enough time and energy to deal with anything else.

Li Mao nodded, then her hand reached to touch Gao Lan Mei's face gently, brus.h.i.+ng off the hair covering her daughter's face, "Wei Jiayi, if you ever hurt Mei'er, I will personally kill you. I swear that to our ancestors that your kind had served." she said casually, still checking Gao Lan Mei's condition.

"Young Master Xi please lead the way." Li Mao suddenly said, not waiting for Wei Jiayi to respond. Gao Tsu can only agree with his daughter-in-law.

For Gao Tsu, despite how Li Mao normally acts like a normal house wife, as a mother she will not allow anything to happen to her child.
