Chapter 2  Part 1- While the interview is under way

Whenever Chen Minhao planned to do something, he would always maintained the habit of drawing up a strategy plan before proceeding to do them.

He brought out a notebook, and started to pen down a summary of the current relevant information to him with a black ink pen:

"The streaming platform - Kiwi is organizing a talent compet.i.tion, 《Produce 101》 , and the agency is preparing to form a boy group by selecting three trainees, and enter them into the compet.i.tion."

Flipping a page of his notebook, he begun to jot down his thought process.

"First of all, this is a very good debut opportunity. Trainees that were able to successfully debut and became a star are always just the tip of the iceberg.

Secondly, although the artist's ability can affect whether the artist is able to achieve popularity to a large extent, what's more important, is the amount of resources they have available to support them.

Kang Hui is the number one agent in Divine Dream at the moment, and she is also the department head in-charge of all the agents. She also reports directly to the CEO. At the moment, there is only one celebrity in her care, and that is the top gun of Divine Dream - w.a.n.g Anqi. w.a.n.g Anqi is one of China's four most popular young actress.

Besides that, Kang Hui was originally from Dragon air, one of the best celebrity agency in the industry as well. She is well-connected, and has an abundance of resources at hand. Even if I have other opportunity to debut in the future, the quality and quant.i.ty of the resources is unlikely to be comparable to the resources in Kang Hui's hands.

Lastly, Kiwi is China's top three video streaming platform, and they have produced several hit variety shows before. Produce 101 will have 101 trainees undergo training and recording of the show in an isolated setting where the finale will involve the audience to vote for the trainees, and have the nine trainees with the most votes form a brand new boy group to debut. This is an excellent debut opportunity to all the trainees."

After switching to a red pen, he wrote down the first small target of his since he transmigrated.

"Get selected to be part of the trio, and enter Kiwi's 《Produce 101》.

Chen Minhao who had just set his target begun a.n.a.lyzing the scores of the daily lessons the original host took in the past, as after all, it was one of the important metrics that the group selection would be based on.

Even though Chen Minhao who had surmounted numerous difficulties to be admitted to Peking University Faculty of Law, and who had put his best effort to become an outstanding graduate was shy to depend on his looks for livelihood, still he gleefully wrote down the words as he thought of his face that was reflected in the mirror:

"Perfect score for my looks."

Afterwards, Chen Minhao flipped to a new page, and wrote some words in large text: "How do I get into the trio?"

Although the selection for the talent compet.i.tion - Produce 101 was likely to place more emphasis on the trainees' vocal skills and dancing skills, Chen Minhao was clear that the scores of the original host did not establish a crus.h.i.+ng advantage when compared to the other trainees, his score could only be considered as above average.

Furthermore, even if he had the memory of the original host, that did not mean that Chen Minhao could replicate whatever the things that the original host could do.

After pondering for a while, Chen Minhao wrote the word - "Interview."

After he finished writing, he remembered the playful t.i.tle that his cla.s.smates gave him in his previous life: "Interview curve-wrecker."

People ought to know that an interview is simply a method of testing the interviewee. Even the wisest interviewer can't judge a person comprehensively in just under an hour. Ability of the interviewee is simply just one of the factors that determines whether the interview ends up as a success or a failure. Hence, interview skills are very important.

He must convince Kang Hui through the interview that he is one of the three people that is the most suited to partic.i.p.ate in the show.

“In any case, I'm going to try my best to get into the group.” Chen Minhao clenched his fist and continued, “There are many cla.s.sic songs that have never appeared in this world before in my mind, but the success of a song does not rest upon the song itself only, otherwise the phenomenon where the original song did not get popular, but cover song did would not have happened.” I have to try my best efforts now to contest for good quality resources so that I'll have more rights and choices in the future. ”

Chen Minhao picked up the pen once again, and wrote down a word – “self-written”, then he added two large double quotation marks beside the word.
