However, You Xiaoke still couldn't understand why the female thief would allow the male thief to do whatever he wanted? The male thief wanted to have a private time with her, and the female thief didn't even comment…. Could it be that their t.i.tle was just a name; they were partners but not a real couple?

You Xiaoke found the possibility pretty big because, during the whole journey, she didn't see the couple thief doing anything romantic at all. Besides, they didn't interact much, either…

“You…. what do you want from me..?” the fearless You Xiaoke became a goat in front of Lin Yi.

“Nothing, I'll bring you bacK; we'll return from the other direction. it's best you don't meet the female thief anymore. Otherwise, it won't be a good ending.” Lin Yi didn't realize the change in You Xiaoke's expression- he had been thinking of returning the tomb one more time. After all, in the medical notes, Zhang Liju did mention about the skybolt pig and the spirit had piqued Lin Yi's interest. Furthermore, he needed the spirit to find him the fire spirit fruit, and he couldn't just leave the little fellow behind.

“Female thief? Is she going to attack me?” You Xiaoke flinched.

“Nothing like that, but I don't want you guys to meet each other anymore.” Lin Yi didn't want to explain- he wasn't planning to reveal Song Lingshan's ident.i.ty to her. They would both fall into an awkward situation if You Xiaoke learned the female thief's real ident.i.ty. Besides, this was a secret mission. They weren't supposed to expose it to outsiders.

“Oh…” what Lin Yi said was a little flirty, this made You Xiaoke misunderstood the real meaning. She thought that Lin Yi had a crush on her and was afraid that the female thief would do her harm. Realizing that she hadn't had enough time spent with Lin Yi, she became brave and asked. “Then… are we going to meet in the future?”

“I don't think so….” Lin Yi frowned- just what was this You Xiaoke talking? Lin Yi didn't know if he should laugh or cry- did this girl really think that he likes her? However, what he said was as true as steel, Lin Yi wouldn't be the male thief anymore. The male thief was long killed by Chen Yutian. There was no more male thief in this world.

“Oh…” You Xiaoke was slightly disappointed by the answer- she couldn't help but feel exceedingly down. This was her first time falling for a guy, although, she didn't know how he looks like and not knowing his real name, she only knew that he called himself the male thief….

Other than that, she knew nothing about this male thief. She hadn't met him before, and he didn't seem to have the intention to meet her ever again.

“I'll bring you out of the valley. Then I'll go back to tomb once again.” Lin Yi said.

“You.. you are going back?” You Xiaoke was stunned.

“En, I need to enter the death door, there's something I'm actually looking for, and I believe I can find them in the death door!” Lin Yi replied.

“Why not… I go with you?” You Xiaoke blushed as she requested. “I might be a drag to you…. But I can be useful at times…”

You Xiaoke wasn't willing to leave Lin Yi just yet; she wanted to spend more time with him- even a second was good enough. From the male thief's tone, he didn't seem to have any interest at her at all, perhaps after today, both of them would never ever meet again.

And while You Xiaoke would never accept mission like this anymore. She would've kissed the dust if Lin Yi wasn't with her this time.

“Sure, let's go then.” Lin Yi went into deep thought and nodded. In his previous plan, he had already considered You Xiaoke along with him; he might have the jade signaling him the danger, but having a person who really knew about traps was still better. Furthermore, You Xiaoke was the one who completed the puzzles. Lin Yi felt that bringing her along would only save him more time.

You Xiaoke was over the moon. Returning to the tomb and entering death's door was a dangerous task, but she didn't know why. She felt safe around the male thief. He gave her so much sense of security; she couldn't even feel danger or anything bad would approach her at all.

“We are going back now?” You Xiaoke asked.

“En, I'll carry you.” Lin Yi carried You Xiaoke and put her under his armpit when he replied. He dashed into the cave and started running at full speed.

You Xiaoke couldn't believe Lin Yi would carry her without a single word. Her face reddened, she was embarra.s.sed, but she didn't resist nor did she struggle because she felt nice being by his side.

Lin Yi was a mystic cla.s.s master, after activating his martial arts-he maintained at full speed sprinting towards the door of life and death. During the whole sprint, he didn't stop and have a rest, but it was a different story for You Xiaoke- she needed rest to replenish her energy, so Lin Yi decided to run for her part as well.

General Weiwu was a mystic dog, so it was totally fine for him to run at this speed too. It didn't take much of his energy to maintain at its peak speed.

Hence, the man and the dog started sprinting their ways to the door of life and death. They didn't stop midway to have a rest, but You Xiaoke did. She felt so safe in Lin Yi's grip; she accidentally took a nap while being carried by Lin Yi.

Lin Yi put You Xiaoke down when they reached the door of life and death.

“This fast?” You Xiaoke was surprised by the time it took for them to return the tomb.

“At full speed, Mystic cla.s.s master doesn't take long to finish this distance; of course, Elder Yu is even faster.” Lin Yi continued. “Alright, let's not talk about this, shall we start working on the puzzle on the death door now? As long as we put the pieces in the right places, we can open the death door?”

“Yeah, but we have to put them in order for the death door. We can't move the pieces without rules. Otherwise, we will activate the traps, and the consequences are going to be big.” You Xiaoke nodded.

“Okay, you give me the orders, I'll do the puzzle.” Lin Yi nodded. “You tell me which to move, and I'll move that for you.”

“Ah… sure!” You Xiaoke knew how dangerous it was, but she also knew that Lin Yi would never allow her to touch them. In the whole raid, he had been the only one doing all the dangerous things alone. Even if Old Hei and Elder Yu were around, he was still the one doing the job. Lin Yi walked towards the death door and was ready to move the pieces.

“First, move this puzzle to the left.” You Xiaoke pointed at one of the puzzleS on the death door.

“This one? Sure.” Lin Yi stretched his hand out, testing the water; the jade on his chest sent no signal to him. Lin Yi relaxed and moved the puzzle directly.

“Ah….” You Xiaoke yelled subconsciously. She let out a breath of relief when there was no danger appearing. She looked at Lin Yi surprisingly, did he move the right one?
