The southern gardens of Metatrin City occupied an enormous land, this was the place where the Caucasus elders lived and it was also Sika’s private land. At the moment, Eleanor was staying there for the long term to cultivate some weird plant species from the elvish plane.

Sika and Eleanor were now cultivating a plant that was around two yards tall, this plant was odd. Its entire body was made up of one leaf and one stem. Magic patterns grew out of the leaf naturally, while a green radiance circulated within the stem, releasing faint hints of the scent of life.

Sika meticulously poured the medicine she had concocted on the stem area, while Eleanor repeatedly cast elvish spells on this towering stalk.

Within the leaf, a filament flagellated slowly as it bloomed slowly. Eleanor gestured with her hand, and a mechanical bee flew over. The body of the mechanical bee was made from mithril, it was tiny and lightweight. The mechanical bee pounced on the leaf, pollinating the small blooming flower.

A tinge of jubilance appeared on Eleanor’s face, “It was a success!”

She did not carry so many of such plants, she was just left with three seeds. If the seeds could not be nurtured, then she could only return to the elvish plane and retrieve more seeds. “The medicine made by the Caucasus priest is pretty good, even though the formula is unlike the elf medicine, it is suitable for this plane.”

Sika did not stop working, this plant was absorbing the medicine too quickly, luckily she was sufficiently prepared. This situation would turn out to be like the previous one where Sika could only watch the plant wither before her eyes.

Eleanor kept casting elvish spells, eventually, the filament of this plant transformed into a petal which was even smaller than a sesame seed. Finally, it fell off, producing something like a wheat ear.

Eleanor stopped casting magic, as she inhaled deeply and wiped away sweat. Sika also stopped working and asked curiously, “Eleanor, what are you cultivating?”

“Nine-leaf Gra.s.s, I only brought along twelve seeds, now I am left with three. If no new seeds are nurtured, it won’t be sufficient for use.”

“Nine-leaf Gra.s.s? There is only one leaf here…” Sika pulled a long face, as she was dissatisfied with Eleanor’s answer.

Eleanor smiled warmly, and said, “If I could cultivate nine leaves, I would be an elvish G.o.d. The medicinal properties in one leaf is already sufficient for me to advance to a sorcerer. Mm, the Six Elements’ s.p.a.ce is also equally useful for me.”

“A medicine which can help someone advance to a sorcerer?” Sika could not believe what she just heard. She knew how many tribulations Saleen had went through, these close shaves helped Saleen experience many adventures, yet, Saleen was only a grade-6 mage at the moment.

“Even though the advancement to a sorcerer isn’t as tough as the advancement to a Nature Priestess, it also cannot be stimulated using medicine.”

“Sika, this is my secret, you cannot tell anyone else.” Eleanor tugged at Sika’s arm.

“Mm, I will not tell, but…”

“You don’t have to tell Saleen, he will not ask about this.” Eleanor carefully plucked a seed, then asked, “Sika, I heard that County Queen Lex is here, and she is in the temple, aren’t you going over to take a look?”

“Lex is currently discussing matters with Saleen, she is busy.”

“Aren’t you worried that Saleen will be s.n.a.t.c.hed away by Lex?” Eleanor asked with much curiosity. If Eleanor was in Sika’s shoes, she would have rushed over the moment Lex returned.

“Eleanor, I was just vexing over how to help Saleen marry Lex.” Sika replied as she shook her head helplessly.

“Sika, are you crazy?”

“Nope, Saleen has to have a wife, right?”

“But…”

“No buts, Lex is so wealthy and powerful, Saleen will not be at a loss by marrying her.” Sika pointed at the Nine-leaf Gra.s.s and asked, “Do you still have use for this?”

“I only want the leaf…” Eleanor did not know what to say, she plucked off the leaf carefully, leaving behind a two yard long stem on the ground.

“It’s a pity, this item can be used to make medicine. It is better than a mage’s medicine.” Sika noticed that the stem’s color had changed quickly after the leaf was removed, the stem began yellowing and its medicinal properties had disappeared.

“Sika, Saleen asked me to advance to a sorcerer as soon as possible. I have enough seeds now, so I can grow some Nine-leaf Gra.s.s for you, but these things…”

“Other people cannot know about this, right?”

“Yes.”

“Eleanor, you have followed Saleen for a while, have you ever seen anyone trying to find out information from me?”

Eleanor was taken aback, then said, “No.”

“You might not know the reason. In the beginning, some people tried to get close to me, but it wasn’t for Saleen’s secrets. They took me for a fool, in the end, I buried them in the ground to be fertilizers. Ever since then, no one has tried to do such stupid things again.”

Eleanor was speechless. Sika looked like a normal human female, other than her captivating beauty, she did not have any other striking characteristics. No one around Saleen could rival such a decisive killing force though.

“Everyone thinks that the Caucasus people are honest and gullible, humph…” Sika snorted, but she did not continue talking. The Caucasus people were very sensitive towards the evil intentions of other people, they were just unwilling to display it.

“Sika, let me ask you, why are you okay with allowing Saleen to marry other women?”

“People who I don’t fancy will not be able to marry Saleen. As for Lex, I find her barely pleasing.” Sika’s expression was nonchalant and confident.

Eleanor shook her head, and said, “How did you set these standards? Men are very fickle.”

“Saleen will not have a change of heart.” Sika smiled vibrantly at Eleanor, as if she was pointing out an obvious fact.

Eleanor sighed, then said, “I cannot advise you on such matters.” Even though Eleanor said that, she was actually recalling the things Saleen had told her during those seven nights of work. “Saleen said that if he ran into unforeseen circ.u.mstances, he will let me take care of Sika and his students, he didn’t even mention anyone else. To a mage, their students are their legacy, the students are of utmost importance. Sika’s and Saleen’s legacies are juxtaposed, I think Sika’s position in his heart will not change.”

Eleanor was dwelling so much on this topic because she really liked Sika. The aura of a Caucasus priestess was very close to that of an elf. If it was anyone else, Eleanor could not even be bothered. Especially Nailisi, who emitted the scent of evil, Eleanor felt really uncomfortable looking at Nailisi.

“Great Priestess, His Majesty invites you over.” A young Caucasus warrior entered Sika’s and Eleanor’s mini garden and greeted Sika. Admiration brimmed in his eyes.

Sika was the gem of the Caucasus people, she was also the ideal companion for these young warriors. These warriors were fanatical over Sika, ever since Sika advanced to an earth priestess, many of the powers exclusive to the Caucasus people were developed. The medicines created by a priest also helped to remove the regret the Caucasus people felt for not having mages.

If Sika did not choose Saleen, these youths would have wooed her already.

As a priestess, Sika could only choose, she could not reject. That was why she was in such a hurry to make love to Saleen.

“I know, please lead the way.” Sika ignored the warrior’s gaze, with Saleen around, these people could only stave off their love for Sika.

The young Caucasus warrior was overjoyed, it was still good to be close to a priestess for a short moment. Sika could travel on her own, but she had let the warrior lead the way which meant that she wanted the warrior to be closer to her.

Sika and Eleanor followed behind the Caucasus warrior. Exiting the southern gardens, two-hundred Caucasus warriors automatically tagged along to protect the priest as they made a beeline for the temple.

The elders had said that there were too many dubious characters in the city, only the temple and southern gardens were safe. As a result, each time Sika stepped out, many Caucasus warriors would follow her, unless she had entered the temple. There was quite a number of Caucasus warriors in the temple. Due to the presence of Sika, many Caucasus people were still willing to be loyal to Saleen.

Eleanor suddenly whispered into Sika’s ear, “Sika, how long have you been with Saleen?”

“It’s been a few years already right?”

“I am referring to the times when you two are engaged in intimacy.”

“Regarding this matter, we have done it about one-hundred times already.” Sika answered unabashedly. Thereafter, she continued, “Probably over two-hundred times, Saleen has very good stamina…”

Eleanor quickly interrupted her, “Sika, I am trying to tell you that people like us who cultivate several skills have different bodies compared to normal people. You might not get pregnant just because you wish for children. If Saleen advances to a sorcerer, it will be even more difficult.”

“Ah?” Even though Sika was psychologically prepared, she was still a bit disappointed after listening to Eleanor.

“I have an idea, you should give it a shot.”

“What is it?”

Eleanor pondered, “I have already imparted elvish magic to Saleen, one more skill will not matter,” then she said, “Of course it is a medicine that can help a person get pregnant. Too many creatures find it hard to leave behind offspring, my… my family has a special medicine to treat this problem.”

“Eleanor, do you have it now?” Sika grabbed Eleanor’s hand and said, “I will try it out today, to see whether it works or not.”

Eleanor was astounded by Sika, she s.h.i.+ed away from Sika’s grip and turned around awkwardly. She realized that the Caucasus warriors were not very near them, each warrior looked imposing and stern, as though they did not hear Sika’s words.

“Why are you looking at them, they are also in much antic.i.p.ation.” Sika disagreed with Eleanor. Even though Sika had a high chance of advancing to a Nature Priestess, the more stable method would be to bear a child. Once this child was born, he or she would possess the abilities of an Earth Priestess. Through further grooming, this child would surely advance to a Nature Priestess.

By leaving descendants behind and protecting them properly, these descendants would mature into adults and the Caucasus people would not be short of priests anymore.

“Forget it, just stay at my place. Later on I will reveal more details.” Eleanor did not wish to discuss this topic with Sika anymore, this medicine was not just consumed orally. If Sika probed excessively, Eleanor would be utterly embarra.s.sed.

The Caucasus people behind perked their ears, but they could not hear anything, causing all of them to look regretful. The issue of a priestess producing offspring could not be rushed.

As the temple came into view, Sika felt a slightly agitated, “Eleanor would not lie about having a solution. I have to speed things up as Saleen will marry other women. Even though I do not object to it, I have to leave behind offspring first. Humph, Saleen is only a grade-6 mage, yet making children is already so difficult. If he advances in the future, other women won’t even be able to have any children with Saleen.”
