Chapter 1479 - God Creature Assassin (Part 1)

Chapter 1479: G.o.d Creature a.s.sa.s.sin (Part 1)

Saleen turned and looked at the giant weapon spirit. He recalled Dante, the first ever weapon spirit that he had subjugated. It was quite a pity that the giant ate it.

“You shall continue using the name Dante, the name…”

“Yes, master.” The giant weapon spirit had no memories. It did not even have any information inherited from the giant. It would follow Saleen’s orders loyalty and without any question.

The three jade pieces were already fused, located in its heart and protecting its fused soul.

The weapon spirit would not attempt to betray Saleen even without the jade, yet Saleen did not reclaim the completed jade. It had never been Saleen’s and he had no intentions of keeping it on him. It would protect Dante’s soul instead.

G.o.ds had no souls, but Dante was special. Its soul had been put under the protection of the broken pieces of the jade before it became a G.o.d, so its soul did not end up fusing with its G.o.dly body.

The G.o.d creatures lay prostrate at its feet. Saleen was elated, but he quickly subdued the feeling because he was feeling abundant power of faith gathering in his body.

If he accepted it, he would slowly be turned into a G.o.d, and that was not good.

As a human, he was able to advance more quickly due to having a soul. If he became a G.o.d, it would take untold number of years to even get to level 15.

Saleen had no intention of doing something that stupid just to extend his lifespan. A G.o.d’s lifespan was longer than a human’s, but it depended on level. After level 16, a human’s lifespan spanned tens of thousands of years. If a human reached level 18, their human’s lifespan would be indefinite.

“Alright, Dante, write your codex here. I’ll leave first,” Saleen said and returned to the subcontinent plane through the portal.

Dante unleashed lightning warriors and began to draft its codex in the sky of the divine kingdom. They were its doctrines.

The first doctrine was the most special among G.o.ds. Saleen Metatrin is the master of this G.o.d. The surname of Metatrin surpa.s.ses all.

There had never been such a codex ever created in history. Humans had been powerful, but G.o.ds had been abundant as well. Level 18 G.o.ds were everywhere, and they were on par with humans. G.o.ds would rather die than to submit to humans, and humans had no interest in subjugating G.o.ds. The greatest value of G.o.ds to humans was that they served well as alchemical materials.

By the time Saleen returned to the subcontinent plane, Dante had melded the divine kingdom into its body and brought it back. It had no interest in preaching to the G.o.d creatures. It had peculiar attributes and had very low yearning for believers. It would earn limitless power and life simply by following Saleen around, so it had no interest in running the divine kingdom.

In terms of personalities, G.o.ds were usually at the extremes. Dante was the same, with its extreme quality being its reliance on Saleen.

The G.o.ddess of Nature was unable to interfere with the divine kingdom Saleen had taken. Rafel won a decisive victory in a single battle, with the asmodians choosing to surrender. To them, the most terrifying thing they had faced were the demons brought by Rafel.

Demons were the ancestors of the asmodians. The asmodians on the subcontinent plane had fallen into decline and did not dare to fight against the demons.

Every creature had others capable of subduing them. If Rafel did it by herself, the best she would be able to achieve would be killing off all the asmodians. It would have taken more than just a single battle to settle everything.

The problem with the subcontinent plane was easy to deal with. Saleen left the Nature Faith’s knights and 100,000 soldiers behind. He brought the remaining of his men back to Myers Mainland.

They did not spend a lot of time fighting, but had a lot to gain. If humans moved to a subcontinent plane, it would quickly change the plane’s powers. Furthermore, the rules of the plane did not restrict levels of professionals.

The people Saleen sent would fight their best.

However, the plane was young, and no level ten powerful ones had emerged, so it had little power. Magic beasts on the plane were low levels as well, and there were hardly any ancient ruins.

The greatest reward was the divine kingdom of millions of G.o.d creatures, and the other benefit was the mineral deposits waiting to be unearthed in the subcontinent plane.

Mages found larger mineral veins in the subcontinent plane easier and began excavation. The problem with materials required for crafting military equipment Saleen needed was solved.

Myers Mainland had a long history. Any mineral veins with great value had already been stripped clean. The islands near the Oceanic Ice Block had been around, only because ancient humans found them too bothersome to mine.

Aini’s expedition yielded some results. It was a subcontinent plane, but the one that Aini went to conquer had no religion. The most powerful of professionals were only at level nine.

Saleen only found how different it was between subcontinent planes and main planes.

Humans had been restricted by the rules on their main plane. Subcontinent planes, on the other hand, had beings of degraded bloodlines all over the place. Even though they were not restricted by plane rules, getting beyond level nine still proved difficult.

Aini did not run into any trouble, but that was not to say that Myers Mainland became entirely safe. More and more portals were opening, and invasions from foreign planes were already occurring.

The Golden Plains no longer pressured Lex; they volunteered troops to aid in defense instead.

Lex knew that the Golden Plains had taken control of her troops, and even if she disagreed, there was little that she could do. The Golden Plains would be able to force her hand through the House of Lords and House of Commons.

There was a lot to gain by attacking foreign planes. There were many Golden Plains mages who were inferior to Saleen, but only in terms of equipment. Saleen had equipment so powerful that they literally allowed him to throw his weight around in the plane.

Thirty-six portals appeared on Myers Mainland within several months. Saleen conquered six on his own, and all of them had religious beliefs. Saleen let others take the planes that had no religious beliefs.

Aini served as the head of the local n.o.bles.

There was no doubt that Saleen’s n.o.bles were given early pickings. He refused to negotiate with Golden Plains. Anyone capable of getting hold of a subcontinent plane had countless riches to gain.

Even if there was hardly any land worth cultivating in the subcontinent planes, there was a large amount of minerals waiting to be unearthed.

There were seven planes with religious beliefs, and all of them were controlled by demiG.o.ds. The demiG.o.ds in the planes had begun to establish their own divine kingdoms. Saleen gained seven broken divine personas, but he had only gained one divine kingdom.

It seemed that the power of Myers Mainland was unable to connect planes of higher levels, and no G.o.ds would enter Myers Mainland through the planes yet.

That put Saleen at ease. If they were just demiG.o.ds, Dante would be able to take care of them without any problem. A level 15 G.o.d who possessed lightning and elemental skills and amplification abilities would make short work of any level 14 G.o.d.

The power difference was just like Saleen being chased by a demiG.o.d all those years ago. Saleen was a high level then—level 13, but that one level difference almost ended up with him getting killed.

Furthermore, Saleen possessed a large number of powerful equipment and G.o.dly items capable of threatening demiG.o.ds.

Saleen returned to Metatrin City and commanded his n.o.bles to take the planes. The disadvantage of Golden Plains began to show. Saleen had Nature Faith and a large number of demons at his disposal, making sure that he had ample soldiers to spare. The Golden Plains’ forces consisted of the tens of thousands of elites that they fostered and the four towns of Qin.

While there were many capable people in Golden Plains capable of competing with Saleen in grabbing planes, they were unable to a.s.semble troops to do so.

Furthermore, Saleen and Grand Duke Iron Blood worked secretly, and Saleen yielded all the portals within Cloudflow territory to the Grand Duke.

The Grand Duke’s powers had grown, but it never bothered Saleen. His mind was put to rebuilding Alchemy City. The three leaders of Alchemy City had gone missing and had yet to turn up, so Saleen had to go personally.

The nine mages elected in the Elemental Hand had to divide their powers anew. Saleen came and brought all nine away with him. He picked his own group and filled them in the council-like Elemental Hand.

The Alchemy City mages were unable to do anything. The nine wanted to protest but they were unable to. Saleen forcibly made them believers of Dante and stripped them of their magic chords.

After he had dealt with the commotion at Alchemy City, Saleen went to the interdimensional s.p.a.ce and visited his teacher.

Jason was in control of Raphael’s magic tower, and the entire interdimensional plane was prosperous. The sun gradually perfected itself, and there was no need for mages to cast magic for light. The crops were growing fine and the weather was great.

Saleen felt very pleased, and of course, Jason was already at the pinnacle of level 14.

Saleen was exasperated. He had only been able to get to level 14, due to using the Hall of G.o.d’s tremendous powers in altering the flow of time. His teacher, on the other hand, had been able to get to level 14 despite the fact that the interdimensional s.p.a.ce’s pa.s.sage of time was slower than Myers Mainland. Jason did not even seem to be stopping any time soon. He seemed like a legendary figure that should not be anywhere near Saleen.

Saleen built a summoning magic array in the interdimensional s.p.a.ce, summoning the Winged Skull over from the spirit plane. He did not dare to build a portal, as he was afraid that the G.o.ddess would be able to trace it. No one knew what the G.o.ddess thought, and Saleen had to ensure his followers’ safety.

Saleen handed over the fragment of divine persona of the G.o.d of Underworld when he saw the Winged Skull, letting the Winged Skull embed it into their Reaper Scythe. The power of rules within the Reaper Scythe was too fearsome, and the Winged Skull was unable to master them.

Saleen asked about Nailisi as well. Nailisi finished evolving her spirit form in the Winged Skull’s spirit plane. The imp missed Saleen a lot and often talked about wanting to return to the mainland.

“Just tell her that I need to get rid of the G.o.ddess before I can get you two home without concern. This place isn’t safe. A teleportation portal isn’t an obstacle to the G.o.ddess.”

“I understand, master. Be careful out there. G.o.ds…are not reliable. All of them,” the Winged Skull reminded Saleen, as if he was a dear old friend of theirs, instead of their master.

“Yeah, I’ll keep that in mind. Oh, right. The remains of G.o.d creatures. Bring them back to the spirit realm and get your golden skeletons to fuse with them.” Saleen took out what he had gotten in the cemetery of the giant. He thought for a bit and took out the giant’s head as well. “Give this to Nailisi. Try to get rid of it. I don’t want anyone else eyeing me for it.”
