Chapter 1390 - Three-Eyed God (Part 2)

Chapter 1390: Three-Eyed G.o.d (Part 2)

The matter of felling the forest was entrusted to the Violet Angel. The Violet Angel itself was a puppet. It could transform itself into numerous engineer puppets and was the best worker.

The Violet Angel went to carry out its orders, secretly feeling bitter. Although he could be transformed into all kinds of machinery, but there was a limit to the number that he could turn into. The forest area at the border of this divine kingdom fragment was already not small. Who knew how much time would be spent to finish felling the entire thing.

However, the Violet Angel immediately roused its spirits and said to himself, “This means Master trusts me. Didn’t you see how he let me lead the lightning warriors to handle these matters? It looks like I know have a position amidst the people by Master’s side, and it has also been raised. Violet Angel, you must work hard!”

Saleen did not know that after the Violet Angel mumbled and grumbled to himself, he also gave himself a round of encouragement. If he had seen this scene, he would definitely have been extremely surprised. This man-made object would also act in such a humanized manner. To mages, he might hold more research meaning and value than the water puppet.

The water puppet could not be replicated. After all, something like the Shenhe was become more and more scarce.

Saleen brought the three-eyed G.o.d’s skull with him and returned to the interdimensional s.p.a.ce. Then, he chased away his magic amplifier’s Weapon’s Spirit in order for him to think of ways to collect the divine kingdom. If he could not collect the whole thing, he was to break it into fragments and consume it.

The divine kingdom itself possessed its own independent s.p.a.ce. The original s.p.a.ce within the magic amplifier was not big. If it was completely merged within, Saleen’s magic amplifier would be able to allow Floating City to enter it as well. At that time, Saleen would really be able to come and go as he pleased. He could bring along Floating City everywhere he went and could dispatch more than a million troops at any time.

Also, once Floating City could be brought about with him easily, Saleen would no longer have to station too many troops at any city.

A teleportation portal would be able to resolve all of his problems.

After returning to the interdimensional s.p.a.ce, Saleen only allowed the Winged Skull to remain. Even Rafel was chased out of the magical tower. When he retrieved the three-eyed G.o.d’s skull and placed it on the alchemy table, the taciturn Winged Skull then opened its mouth to say, “Master, this three-eyed G.o.d…became a G.o.d after death.”

“Became a G.o.d after death?”

“Mm, after one’s life has come to an end, they can only become a G.o.d after turning into a death creature. But as a death creature, they cannot maintain it for too long. This three-eyed G.o.d could not bear to give up their memories of their previous life,” The Winged Skull replied.

Saleen’s heart was moved. Could it be that the Winged Skull also had memories of his previous life? From his tone, it seemed as if death creatures cared about this very much.

But this was not the time to question him further. Saleen did not want to forcefully ask about such matters as well. The Winged Skull and Nailisi were different. His loyalty had been established upon the respect that Saleen showed towards him. Such loyalty was loyalty towards the contract, and not a request to be on equal footing with Saleen.

After signing a soul contract, a typical mage would not search or forcefully request contractual creatures to reveal their secrets.

Jason saw the large-sized skull and was also extremely awed.

“Saleen, this item is really great, you can utilize it by fusing it into the Figure of Fate.”

“Figure of Fate?”

“Indeed, its best if an astrologer’s items are not left in the body. Don’t just think that it can save your life. It can also cause you to develop a sense of reliance towards it,” Jason warned his student. If Saleen did not have the Figure of Fate, perhaps his speed of advancement would be even faster, wouldn’t it?

Saleen’s fortune was becoming better and better, yet he had been implicated by the Figure of Fate.

Of course, without the Figure of Fate, Saleen would have died a few times. Such matters had their disadvantages, as well as advantages. It depended on what Saleen chose.

Yet, now there was another opportunity. With the three-eyed G.o.d’s skull, the Figure of Fate’s properties could be transferred to a piece of equipment that was purely for a mage, instead of an astrologer’s equipment.

Saleen understood his Teacher’s meaning. Although he felt a little sorry towards Gaine, but he also had no choice.

There would eventually come a day when he would have to completely bid farewell to astrology.

On the other hand, the secret techniques that Teacher had taught him were extremely compatible with magic. Alternatively, they could be said to be another systematic type of magic.

Within the secret technique, there were descriptions of such fusions of equipment. Saleen himself had tried this many times. Such fusions, typically, were easier the lower the grade of the equipment in question.

If it was for equipment below grade-9, Saleen would practically not make any mistakes. For equipment above grade-9, the materials needed to be of sufficiently good quality in order to prevent the refining from failing.

For such methods of equipment fusion, if it failed, the equipment would be completely destroyed. Even claiming back the value of the materials could not be done.

“I will do it now. But before that, Bing, absorb as much as you can,” Saleen said to the Winged Skull.

The Winged Skull nodded, with a gleeful expression showing on his face. If he absorbed the power of death on this skull, it would not cause Saleen to suffer any losses, yet the benefits for him would also be immense. With this power, his 1,000 or so golden skeleons could all advance. And it would not take more than 10 years.

The Winged Skull spewed out death flames from his mouth, enveloping the three-eyed G.o.d’s skull in it. In ancient times, the three-eyed G.o.d had also been an existence in the same league as the King of G.o.ds. Yet, they had now fallen to the extent that their skull was being refined by others.

Saleen increasingly understood that there were not everlasting kingdoms, nor were there everlasting existences.

Even after becoming a G.o.d, one would eventually have to fall. Gaine had wanted to enter an even higher grade Crystal Wall system. This was for the sake of achieving eternity, right? In any case, within this Crystal Wall system, everything would eventually perish one day.

The death flames slowly extracted the death G.o.dly power within the skull. On the sidelines, Jason was explaining the power of the three-eyed G.o.d to Saleen.

The three-eyed race was the race with the strongest innate mental power. If the numerical value of mental power when humans were born was 10, the mental power of the three-eyed race’s infants would be 1,000.

For such a level of mental power, even without magic nuclei, they would be able to aimlessly cultivate magic up to about grade-7 or 8. They would not need magic nuclei for many magic spells, such as death magic.

The three-eyed race were a powerful race. The might of their mental power enabled their civilization to walk on a different path from that of humans. The most special point was that the three-eyed G.o.d possessed armor that was controlled by mental power. Even if a child wore it, they would be able to do battle with a grade-9 human sorcerer.

But this did not signify that the three-eyed race’s body was fragile. In fact, the three-eyed race had some of the giants’ power flowing within their veins. When this power awakened, it would allow kings to appear amidst the three-eyed race. They were all about 60 meters tall, and their power was approximately equivalent to that of a giant dragon. The skull that Saleen had obtained was precisely one which had been left behind by a king of the three-eyed race.

The strongest part of the three-eyed race was still the eye on their forehead. This eye possessed natural power. Also, the population of the three-eyed race had been large in number. There had also been many types of this natural power, and not a single type of natural power was useless. After they fully matured, most of the three-eyed race would have at least three or more types of natural power.

For the skull that Saleen had obtained, the eye at the forehead had not degraded yet. After the Winged Skull had extracted the death G.o.dly power, it had regained its original appearance. It was resplendent with the seven colors of the rainbow inside it, and there were even countless stars within.

Jason told Saleen, that was the star chart of the plane in which the three-eyed race resided. It was the three-eyed race’s homeland.

“Saleen, we are fortunate.” Jason said to his student, “Fycro does not know that the divine kingdom fragment you have obtained belongs to a three-eyed G.o.d. If he had obtained this skull, after absorbing it, he could have directly advanced to become a true G.o.d, which would be a grade-15 lesser G.o.d. If that had been the case, he would have possessed a divine persona, and we would not have been able to defeat him.”

Saleen’s body broke out in cold sweat. The Abyss of Light that Fycro had created was just 1,000 kilometers away from this temple. If Fycro had done a search, he would definitely have been able to find the temple amidst the smoke.

With Fycro’s level of sensitivity towards G.o.dly power…

It turned out that the smoke had been given off by the separation of G.o.dly power. Fycro would have needed to enter the smoke, only after which he would have been able to find the three-eyed G.o.d’s skull. From the outside, he would have felt that the G.o.dly power within the smoke was weak and not up to par with other places in the divine kingdom fragment.

So, what the G.o.ds need to be extra prepared against was actually other G.o.ds!

His Elemental Eye had taken advantage of the situation. Also, if not for Rafel, he would not have found the temple either. Saleen recollected the moment and discovered that this was indeed the case. The position of the temple was far too inconspicuous. Only angels who had entered a large number of divine kingdoms, like Rafel, would be able to deduce its location.

For angels like Rafel, their numbers during the ancient times would also not have been great.

The Winged Skull’s absorption speed was exceptionally quick. After he had advanced to grade-11, it need not be said that the power of the death flames had become stronger. But the power that his body was able to bear had also increased exponentially. The Golden Heart constantly modified his body, allowing the strength of the Winged Skull’s body to not be much different from that of the ancient magic beasts.

It should be known that for the sake of resisting the powerful G.o.ds and humans, the ancient magic beasts’ bodies could all bear the fierce bombardment of magic spells. Furthermore, the magic beasts also possessed an innate resistance towards divine spells.

Once the Winged Skull had completed the absorption of the death G.o.dly power within the skull, Saleen then released his Water Flames. He followed Teacher’s pointers and also retrieved the Figure of Fate, beginning to refine both of them.

The Power of the Constellations within the Figure of Fate was extracted out by Saleen. There was nothing that needed to be said about the materials of the figure itself. The things that Gaine had given to Saleen had been the best.

In the center of the three-eyed G.o.d’s skull, the rainbow-colored eye opened and shot out a rainbow colored light. Even Saleen’s Water Flames could not stop it, but he would not stop such things from occurring either. The rainbow-colored light melted into the Figure of Fate, wanting to a.s.similate the figure.

But how could the grade-18 Figure of Fate be a.s.similated by it. No matter how powerful the three-eyed race was, the skull was only left with its last instinct and could not possibly create such chaos.

The starline patterns within the Figure of Fate were worn down by the rainbow-colored light bit by bit. The rainbow-colored light itself was also being reduced. Although Saleen’s heart ached for the three-eyed race’s power, but this was worth it. Even if the power was kept behind, it was impossible for him to merge it into his body.

The three-eyed race were also not of such good character. If he were to carelessly absorb this rainbow energy, perhaps the three-eyed race would have made use of his body to come back to life.

Anything related to the G.o.ds must be handled with care.

When the starline patterns of the Figure of Fate were being worn down, the eye of the three-eyed G.o.d could no longer release anymore rainbow-colored light. The pupil of that eye had also vanished.

Saleen had some regrets towards fusing together the Figure of Fate and the skull in one place, and he reinserted the lightning runes. Of the 360,000,000 lightning runes, Saleen refined all of them into the skull, not even missing one of them. Only then was he at ease.

The skull replaced the Figure of Fate’s head, causing the figure to appear extremely comical.

Saleen placed the Figure of Fate that had been refined again into his body. He felt about for a bit, then extremely dejectedly said to Teacher, “Only one of the three-eyed race’s skills is remaining. And the number of times it can be used is not much .”

“What skill is it?”

“Fusion, this three-eyed race’s fusion skill has been preserved. But I can only fuse three things at most…”
