Chapter 1376: Extremely Strong Mage (Part 1)

Saleen studied Fycro’s actions within the magic images. The more he looked, the gloomier he felt. Fycro did not take much time to repair his mirror either. This seemed to require little energy.

“Rafel…”

“What is it?”

“Give your spear to me. I have to think of a way.” Saleen had no choice; he could only target Fycro’s equipment by refining a weapon for Rafel.

Rafel was the only person with the strength to put up a strong resistance against Fycro. Rafel’s weakness was obvious, however. Without a G.o.d behind her to provide support, when facing professionals at the same grade Rafel would basically have to rely on hand-to-hand combat in battle. Any other rules or G.o.dly items would not be able to withstand consumption.

Hence, Saleen had to create a piece of equipment for which consumption was no issue for Rafel. At the very least, it could not consume Rafel’s G.o.dly power.

Saleen had not deliberately prepared too much chlorite. He had this item in his possession, but it was impossible to have too much of it. He had only taken note of some chlorite mineral veins in the ocean.

When he returned this time, he would have to dig out a batch no matter what. Otherwise, Rafel’s combat power would really be insufficient.

Saleen mentally pondered this as he received the spear. He set about the preparations to refine equipment for Rafel.

Jason had also stopped doing his calculations. He wanted to refine the equipment with Saleen because he had already perceived Saleen’s thoughts.

He had seen with his own eyes the instant at which the glowing spear had been absorbed. The eye’s structure could accommodate various kinds of energy. In other words, if these magic arrays were to expand, they would be able to withstand most of the energy attacks of this word, including magic spells and divine spells.

Saleen chose his materials prudently. Poisons would be somewhat useless against a G.o.d like Fycro. Even the metallic poison or the elemental poison could be dissolved by Fycro before he was poisoned. He was a light-based G.o.d, so physical attacks would also have a somewhat limited killing effect against him, unless it was from Nailisi’s Gray Memory.

As for energy, Saleen had a lot of it. In Nature City, he had collected the G.o.ddess’s G.o.dly power, the power of the Spirits of the dead, the abominations’ evil power, and the mages’ elemental power.

“Rafel, how’s your control over the elements?”

“Not much, my lord. I am an angel. What I am most proficient in using is G.o.dly power.”

Saleen heaved a sigh, beginning to retrieve the G.o.ddess’s G.o.dly power from his s.p.a.ce in order to inject it into the six eyes on the spear. Unexpectedly, the s.p.a.ce behind the six eyes was obviously not big, yet after Saleen injected all the G.o.ddess’s G.o.dly power he had into it; it felt as if it had not been filled to the brim.

After being injected with the G.o.ddess’s G.o.dly power, the spear turned green. Its upper part was full of the Holy Prose of the G.o.ddess of Nature. Such a change was already somewhat strange. It was as if this bayonet was not a part of the Silverline Golden Spearfish, but rather a separate creature that was a parasite living on the Silverline Golden Spearfish.

The six eyes could now be opened once more, but the evil energy was gone. Instead, it was br.i.m.m.i.n.g with life as it s.h.i.+ned. It was as if the spear was the vine of a plant.

Only then did Saleen discover that the refining method of Gray Memory had some problems. The materials of this bayonet were much better than he had imagined. If they had been refined with the correct technique, Nailisi’s combat power would be increased by leaps and bounds.

The six eyes had appeared evil. This was because of the unknown object concealed inside it. Now that object had entered Fycro’s G.o.dly item, and the G.o.ddess of Nature’s G.o.dly power had been injected into the eye. Immediately, the spear appeared to take on some of the G.o.ddess of Nature’s properties.

If this item had been given to mages in order to create a magic staff, the six great elements could aptly be tossed into the eyes. At that time, it would be as if…as if the mage possessed six clones of himself.

What about Nailisi? Nailisi would also have powerful skills. If the power of lightning could be stored inside the eyes, it would be compatible with Nailisi’s Lightning Protection. Otherwise, it could allow Nailisi’s human form to become a mage. Nailisi would then be a lightning-based mage.

This was indeed an immensely strong weapon. It could contain any type of energy and change its property anytime.

Saleen already could not bear to continue refining any further. He glanced at his teacher. Jason smiled and said, “Just do whatever you want. We still have some of these eyes in our possession; it’s just that they’re defective and incomplete.”

Saleen immediately saw the light. He had even higher grade Silverline Golden Spearfish bayonets in his possession. It was just that they were all incomplete. It was only because he had previously made the wrong judgment towards these materials that he felt they were useless.

With these eyes, it was enough for him to refine even stronger equipment, and he would not need to use Rafel’s spear to conduct some tests.

However, an evil power was stored within these eyes. The degree of evilness surpa.s.sed the Heretic G.o.d’s abominations.

Saleen made a decision on the spot and retrieved a piece of equipment. It was the Mysticube that Gaine had given to him. The items stored within the Mysticube consisted entirely of stellarite. Saleen transferred the stellarite into his Ring of Cosmos. Then he retrieved a large number of bayonet fragments and selected 27 of the highest grade fragments. At this point, he didn’t know how to best proceed.

Jason said, “Pa.s.s them to me.”

Saleen nodded. From Jason’s body, Rings of Water and Fire flew out, tossing the fragments inside one by one. The eyes on these fragments had originally been shut. After they had fallen within the Rings of Water and Fire, all the eyes immediately opened. Their evil aura caused Saleen to feel as if the Heretic G.o.d had descended upon this interdimensional s.p.a.ce.

But Jason did not give these eyes any chances. He directly used two types of Alchemy techniques that were unparalleled in strength to force out the evil energy within the eyes. What flew out from them was a type of gray aura that condensed.

Jason retrieved a square box. He quickly put away the ball of gray aura in it, then he added a seal onto the box.

After putting away the box, Jason tossed the 27 fragments that were already empty to Saleen and said, “They can be used now.”

Saleen nodded and extended his Water Flame Alchemy technique. He began to refine the Mysticube and the 27 fragments at the same time.

The s.p.a.ce within the Mysticube was not small. When it was combined with the eyes, each s.p.a.ce immediately expanded. Saleen had unknowingly used a secret technique. The Mysticube’s 27 faces turned into 27 eyes and grouped together. It was extremely bizarre.

Saleen became even more intelligent with his good fortune. He retrieved the magic amplifier at the same time and tossed it into the Water Flames.

“Saleen…”

After Jason had opened his mouth, he extended his Blazing Flame Soul-refining Technique to help Saleen refine the magic amplifier. The difficulty was too great and not something that Saleen could grasp.

The Weapon’s Spirit within the magic amplifier flew out in a panic with its claymore in its hand, feeling somewhat perplexed. Just now, he had felt that his life was being threatened. The Blazing Flames extended by Jason were evidently able to melt him into nothingness.

Saleen looked on, stunned, as Jason’s magic chords grew until they were outside his body. Only two colors represented the water and fire element. Was Jason actually not a mage for which the six great elements were in equilibrium?

Also, he had as many as eight magic chords.

Wait, Jason had advanced? Advanced to grade-13?

“Saleen, since I have advanced, my power cannot be sealed and I cannot return to the Myers Continent. Hence, killing Fycro for you here is the last thing I can do for you. If you have any questions in the future, you can only come here to look for me.” Jason said helplessly.

He still knew of some places on the Myers Continent that had not been searched; their importance was not lower than that of the Imperial City of the Abyss. But for his student’s sake, he could only bring forward his advancement.

Saleen was stunned. Jason could actually have advanced to grade-13 any time. What notion was this?

His own speed of advancement was swift because he had gained numerous treasures and possessed sources of knowledge that were unimaginable to others. He had the grade-18 Gaine who was willing to open a path for him. If it was ancient times and he had such an opportunity, it would not even be strange for him to be directly promoted to grade-15. But what about Jason? He didn’t have anything at all and only relied on his own cultivation, yet he had already attained such a level?
