Chapter 1296: Each Takes What is Needed (Part 1)

Six of the towers shot a complex magic beam into the air. Energy flowed in the beams, and there were tens of thousands of magic runes.

The other three level 10 magical towers shot the same magic beam towards the sky. They entwined, forming a solidified magic array.

The female archangel was engulfed in the magic array. About 1,000 magic runes floated up from the magic array, about to enter the angel’s body.

The archangel furrowed her eyebrows, and the pure white feathered wings on her back fluttered. The nine magic beams were sliced at the root. The nine mage trainers only saw nine feathers slice apart the energy at the tip of the magical towers. They could no longer maintain the magic array.

“Summoning me is one issue, but you want to enslave me!” The archangel grumbled. She turned back and reached out her hand into the hexagon, pulling out a silver suit of armor. It s.h.i.+vered in her hands and draped over her body. Her hand touched the inside of the summoning array and pulled out a spear.

“Yes? I’m really free!” The archangel was delighted. She lowered her head, rushed towards the spatial pathway formed by the summoning circle, and yelled, “everyone come out!”

The earth trembled, and the summoning array split in half. The spatial pathway became a huge spatial door, and hundreds of metal angels took the moment to emerge from the spatial door.

The archangel led the metal angels to expand their wings. With a whoosh, they flew up high towards the sky.

The summoning array on the ground collapsed, and the spatial gate would also fall apart in a few seconds. All other constructions had already been destroyed by the dimensional storm formed by the collapse of the spatial door.

Everything had occurred without a sound. The nine mage trainers’ mouths hung open. It took 10 seconds for everybody to react. The mage trainer who usually took command shouted, “quickly trigger the city territory!”

City territory!

The mage trainers lost their composure and began yelling. There were a total of 24 level 10 magical towers in the city, and they all erupted with a great amount of energy. Each tower was an elemental point of the magic array. After they erupted, the energy s.h.i.+eld released by Alchemy City’s city walls stopped operating and withdrew.

A formless territorial power was released. The Elemental Hand’s elders panicked. There should not be any mistakes when summoning a metal archangel. How could this be?

The mages were in a frenzy of panic and had unconsciously released the city territory.

The city territory was the main a.s.set used for Alchemy City to protect their lives. Once it was used, it would be difficult to mobilize within the next few dozen years as it needed to slowly draw on power from the earth. Alchemy City was a huge piece of magic equipment and the 24 core magical towers formed the city territory.

Floating City shook vigorously in the skies of Alchemy City. This was elemental garbling!

The water puppet hurriedly made Floating City fly up. It flew up by about 10,000 meters. Only then did it escape from Alchemy City’s territorial power. A city’s territorial power had caused Floating City to be forced back.

Rossen did not dare to force his way downwards. He was afraid of the elemental storm that would come after the elemental garbling. Floating City was not perfect. There were many gaps in its defense. Daring to have Floating City hover above Alchemy City was purely due to the st.u.r.diness of the materials that were used in its structure.

If a huge elemental storm occurred, Floating City would be the first to fall.

Saleen immediately felt the city defense. The entire city was wrapped in an immense power. It felt just like the first time he had seen the sea.

His lightning territory could not be suppressed by the city territory, but it was visibly thinner and electric currents no longer flowed wildly. Saleen was not surprised. The formation of his lightning territory had been quite rushed, too many of its areas were crude and could not be completely controlled. The city territory had caused the lightning territory to be dispersed and become exceptionally thin. However, it allowed Saleen to be able to perceive the mysteriousness of the lightning territory.

“Saleen, let’s go.” Sika felt uneasy. She could feel that the power was unrivalled.

“No, you and Nailisi should stay together. Take this opportunity to sacrifice the soul beast. Inbosa and I will search for the warehouses. Alchemy City’s array is facing an issue. It has summoned an extremely powerful being that cannot be controlled. The territorial power is not targeted at us, otherwise Grand Duke Iron Blood would have escaped long ago.”

“You must be careful.” Sika only spoke one sentence and then stayed behind with Nailisi. She looked around, found a seven floor magical tower, brandished her staff and barged into it. No one would be bothered by her presence. Alchemy City’s mages were all thinking of ways to handle the archangel who had gone out of control.

Sika rushed into the magical tower. The large soul beast roared. The people in the magical tower were shaking with confusion. Originally, the level 7 magical tower was not like that. When Nailisi rushed in, she first threw in the triangular bone piece, which emitted a strong wailing sound, as if tens of thousands of people were weeping.

The mages in the tower immediately became dispirited and could no longer manipulate the magical tower to attack. The angry roar of the soul beast caused the people in the entire magical tower to feel cursed.

Sika originally wanted to knock these people out, but Nailisi had stabbed them all with her spear. All of the places she had pa.s.sed, the people had been stabbed to death.

Sika felt helpless. Nailisi’s actions were too ruthless, and she would not leave behind any survivors. But it was also good; she could cultivate her own priest skills and avoid having others discover any of her secrets.

The soul beast outside the magical towers shrank and rushed into the magical tower. Sika summoned her three great beast spirits and proceeded with the sacrifice in the magical tower. Nailisi smoothed out the scroll that Saleen had tossed over to her. An ancient giant dragon’s soul was sealed within this scroll.

A golden giant dragon. She could also transform into one, but because she had not absorbed a giant dragon’s soul, her golden giant dragon was weak. It was sufficient for bullying the demons, but if she encountered a real giant dragon, it would not work. By swallowing the ancient golden giant dragon’s soul, she could finally perfect Luoluokaluo’s skills.

Nailisi was a little more relaxed. Recently, Master’s enemies had become stronger and stronger, making it so that even if one wanted to skive, they couldn’t!

Inbosa stuck close to the ground. The gigantic metal gears revolved and destroyed constructions along the way. Saleen found that Inbosa’s unwillingness to fly high also had reasons. Of the power that had erupted from this city, the parts close to the ground were the weakest.

Saleen calculated his own power. He could use the clan badge, but that was a last resort. He still had four b.a.l.l.s of lightning and seven lightning icicles. The 24 magic spells on the Starline robe had not been utilized. He still had a large number of scrolls in his possession, as well as four star figures left behind by Gaine. That was it. It should be able to handle the situation that would take place.

Saleen used territorial power to peek at the archangel’s image. It was a perfect body that possessed mighty powers. If he faced her, probably only a skill like the Crystal Finger would be able to catch her off guard. The archangel would be able to dodge all the other pieces of equipment.

It was best not to aggravate the being. Anyway, the angel was not of the Holy See, so it could be left for the Holy See’s people to worry about.

Hey, star figure!

Saleen suddenly realized that under these circ.u.mstances, his star figure’s power was not weakened, but strengthened! So the city’s power originated from astrologers.

n.o.body had said when Alchemy City had been established. It was said that it was originally a place where a mage’s gathering had been located, and it later formed a city.

Since it was an astrologer’s power, why was there no Power of the Constellations?

It must have gone through a mage’s modifications. After all, the Power of the Constellation was slightly more distant as compared to power from the earth. Mages did not have an astrologer’s means and the power of the earth element was still the most reliable.

After thinking through the crux of the matter, Saleen was no longer worried. He could break through this city’s power. He only needed to summon the four star figures so that they could take him to forcefully break through. Gaine’s star figures possessed this plane’s strongest constellation rules within them.

Saleen’s aura suddenly stabilized. Grand Duke Iron Blood felt it strange and turned back to glance at him. The rainbow giant dragon was running on the ground and did not dare to fly, how could Saleen suddenly relax?

Saleen smiled at Grand Duke Iron Blood. Inbosa arrived above an underground warehouse and spread out the Dissolution Spell scroll. Inbosa’s mental power was quickly consumed, which scared him. He had clearly spied on Saleen continuously entering two underground warehouses. Alchemy City’s underground warehouses were also divided into two stories.

Saleen had used at least four Dissolution Spell scrolls. If it was based on this level of consumption, he could release four scrolls at most before his mental power was completely consumed. Why could Saleen use level 11 magic spell scrolls this easily?

Inbosa drank a bottle of medicine to fully replenish his mental power.

The strong Dissolution Spell caused a huge hole to be corroded into the ground. Inbosa’s alchemy showed its strength. Saleen had first used magic spells to blast the ceiling of the warehouse, then used the Dissolution Spell scroll, whereas Inbosa directly used it on the ground. The Dissolution Spell was controlled and was released downwards, directly dissolving the mezzanine of the warehouse.

Inbosa saw that the Dissolution Spell was ineffective on the mezzanine, and his brows furrowed. He readily retrieved a bottle and poured out the liquid inside it.

It was metallic poison that had been refined dozens of times. The bottle of poison was worth even more than a level 11 scroll. The metallic poison swiftly caused the surface of the mezzanine to become mottled.

Inbosa reached out. Saleen smiled as he handed over three Dissolution Spell scrolls. If they wanted to reach below the mezzanine, they would still need to complete three more rounds of dissolution before they could enter.

Saleen would not release his b.a.l.l.s of lightning. He could still release four of the b.a.l.l.s, and each would be Saleen’s trump card. Inbosa wanted to destroy this mezzanine, so he would let him think of a way.

The metallic poison corroded a large part of the magic patterns on the mezzanine. Inbosa immediately released the second Dissolution Spell scroll. Below the mezzanine, another large hole appeared. Inbosa = released a Fossilization spell, petrifying the hole, and then he drilled his way in.

With his scorpion-like body, entering and leaving this cave was even easier.
