The metal angel was formidable enough to keep struggling even after being covered by that net. It was attempting to cut it open with the heavy sword in its hand. The net contracted in an instant, trapping the angel securely. The metal angel continued to wiggle about, shooting countless metal blades to cut the net.

Saleen did not bother with it and shot another lightning icicle at yet another metal angel. He then opened a sealing scroll and threw the metal angel in the net inside the scroll. That scroll’s creation was entirely dependent on luck, as it was at level-11, the highest level of a scroll that both Saleen and his teacher were capable of creating.

As a level-10 mage, the creation of a level-11 scroll only had 20 percent of success even when starline paper was used. Every time Saleen ventured outside, he had to bring about 100 scrolls of such level.

To have a level-11 scroll sealing a level-12 angel would have also been a matter of luck, as the rate of success of such sealing would have only been one percent, even if that angel had lost consciousness. Saleen was fully ready to throw the next sealing scroll.

He did not realize that he had actually succeeded in the first throw.

According to statistics, the probability of sealing the second metal angel was even lower. Saleen put the scroll away and unleashed lightning puppets to block the metal angel who had regained consciousness. He picked up the net and picked up the sealing scroll.

Two of three metal angels were taken out in a jiffy. The last remaining one looked terrified. However, it was being subjected to magical control and was incapable of running, so it had to continue attacking Saleen.

The huge heavy sword was over half a foot thick and over four meters in length. One slash caused the air around to explode. Being grazed by the shockwave alone would have torn a person apart. Saleen would have never engaged a metal angel in physical combat. He opened his territory and let the lightning puppets pounce on and tangle in it. Saleen took the opportunity to deal with the mages around him using magic scrolls.

There was all manner of professionals...o...b..ard the giant metal wars.h.i.+p. Once the mages’ magic array was destroyed, the grand swordmasters pounced and were ready to do battle. But when the two metal angels were defeated, the grand swordmasters became rather afraid instead.

However, with the enemy on board the s.h.i.+p, there was no way they could have avoided fighting. They were not on land. Mages were capable of prolonged flight. If the grand swordmasters were to fall into the water, they would only be able to pray that there would be decent islands for them to climb on. More importantly, they would have to pray not to encounter any seaborne magic beasts that were too powerful. Mages were far better at swimming than grand swordmasters were.

Saleen’s magic skill was at an all-time high then and he was able to wield low-level magic spells like they were his own limbs. Furthermore, the enemy’s reaction had been noticeably slowed when fighting in his territory. Saleen only needed to use low-level spells to fight them.

The leading mage of Devil’s Horn, that young level-10 sorcerer was still unable to properly gauge Saleen’s power after observing him for so long, thinking that Saleen was only armed with mystical equipment. That mage charged with two golden grand swordmasters by their side after seeing Saleen being adept at long-range fighting.

Saleen took his time on and off to have the lightning puppets attack the low-level mages and warriors controlling the magic cannons at the gunwale. Attacks from the metal wars.h.i.+p weakened gradually and were then overpowered by the Ancient.

The remaining 60 and more s.h.i.+ps in Saleen’s fleet had their pressures lifted off and they began to attack the s.h.i.+ps of Alchemy City. The metal wars.h.i.+p that shook heavily all of a sudden—Sika had made it to the bottommost floor, knocking a few holes at the bottom of the wars.h.i.+p.

Sika had even broken the wars.h.i.+p’s pure metallic keel. The wars.h.i.+p began to creak in the waves and it seemed that the sinking of the s.h.i.+p was imminent.

The metal angel continued to bring all of its might to slaughter its enemies, yet its enemies consisted of lightning puppets and nothing else. Saleen took the opportunity to hunt down mages instead of fighting that level-10 sorcerer. The young sorcerer was practically fuming, yet they were unable to keep up with Saleen’s speed.

Despite being at sea, Saleen had the elemental badges on his person and he had the Lightning Constellation cast, so he was in no lack of earth elemental powers. His movements came to resemble Jalin’s more and more. That level-10 mage was incapable of even touching Saleen’s shadow. The thick mist created using water element grew increasingly thick, coming to shroud the entire metal wars.h.i.+p.

It was only then that the young sorcerer found that something was off. They lost all support.

Saleen’s territorial powers prevented their territorial powers from being cast. It was not something resulting from level difference but from a territorial difference. Saleen’s territory had always been more powerful than that of conventional level ten mages. The territorial powers of that young mage had been something forcefully put onto them, making them incapable of controlling it smoothly. When faced with something like lightning territory which had clearly been more powerful and capable of dealing debuffs, that young mage’s territory was incapable of being cast at all.

Saleen was unable to help but asked, “How did such an idiot come to be a sorcerer!?”

That young mage felt thoroughly ashamed. They were unable to even see where Saleen was by then. Even when Saleen’s shadow appeared in the mist, they did not even dare to sense if that was real.

They were able to guess the attributes of Lightning Phantasm even if they were to be even dumber than that. The illusions seen within the mist was like some enticing poisons. That mage had only dared to use magic for targeting and attacking at most, not daring to even find out if those shadows were real.

Actually, it would have been easy to break those illusions—having a common warrior slash at them once or twice would have sufficed. The illusions had unspeakably weak combat capacity, so much so that even a swordmaster would have been able to easily break them. The problem, however, was that Saleen was moving too quickly. The speed at which the illusions move was something that no swordmaster would have been able to keep up with.

When the number of low-level warriors around him grew, Saleen would have only needed to cast a multiple target spell to deal with them. One level-9 spell alone would have caused a good number of them dropping dead.

That young sorcerer had even begun to doubt if they were the ones ambus.h.i.+ng Saleen, or Saleen was the one hunting them down.

A powerful level-12 magic array, three level-12 metal angels, and a squadron of mages capable of conjuring flying magic arrays; all of them were broken by Saleen alone. Saleen was indeed taking out everyone on the huge metal s.h.i.+p all on his own.

But then again, he was not actually alone; Sika was there as well.

Sika had only returned to the deck after breaking the wars.h.i.+p sufficiently. The last metal angel on the deck continued to swing its sword around. Every single swing caused over a dozen lightning puppets getting bisected. The metal sword emanated liquid form sword aura, bringing unparalleled cutting power to bear along with high temperatures.

The metal angel was surrounded by fuming, vaporized metal. No one dared to get near other than the lightning puppets.

Sika looked at all of that and brought the metal totem pole to shoot dazzling starlight out of the hundreds of holes on it. The constellation power had been molded by Gaine, enabling nature priests to use them at will. While the attributes were different, the power was not even slightly diminished.

The metal totem pole crashed onto the metal angel heavily, reducing it to a pie. The metal feathers from the squashed angel shot everywhere, killing countless warriors. Saleen, who was watching the fight from afar, felt the flooring beneath shaking, so much so that he was almost sent flying. While Sika’s strength hardly grew, but the attack of the metal totem pole itself was formidable regardless.

The people onboard the metal wars.h.i.+p were all in shambles. The mages were incapable of keeping things in control and there were even warriors casting out lifeboats, getting ready to run. However, all of the lifeboats were under the mages’ control, so the warriors in the water were unable to go anywhere still.

Sika then put the two metal pies—the crushed metal angels—into her own s.p.a.ce equipment. Saleen called for Sika and took to the air, finding the fighting tiresome and simply let the Ancient blast the remaining people alive on the s.h.i.+p instead.

Saleen was not angry at all. The metal wars.h.i.+p created by Devil’s Horn was indeed formidable. If it had not been for the fact that he was exceedingly powerful compared to the others of his level, and that Sika had the metal totem pole with her, getting surrounded by the metal angels would have meant him having to exhaust all-powerful means he had with him.

He took Sika high up in the air and admired the view within half a mile radius. Things below the water surface were safe now that Alchemy City’s support fleet was gone, and there were many magic beasts below waiting for the result of the fighting patiently.

Those magic beasts seemed to have been far more intelligent than they used to be, as none of them came up to grab the dead bodies. They seemed to know that when the fighting was over, the humans would have left and that was when the feast began.

There were over 40 s.h.i.+ps from Alchemy City left, but those supporting the metal s.h.i.+p was almost downed, making them incapable of organizing and launching effective a.s.saults.

Genga was very excited. With Saleen’s attack being so powerful, it was spared of the fate of getting its level reduced. Furthermore, things around returned to its control. Over 60 s.h.i.+ps from Metatrin guarded the Ancient and attacked Alchemy City’s fleet one last time.

Bone spirits were released by the Pan Turtle Alchemy s.h.i.+p below water. The sounds of Blood Cry Explosions were heard over 100 miles away.

Saleen then said to Sika, “It’d seem that the outcome of naval battles would have been decided by powerful professionals in the future as well.”

Sika nodded. In that day and age, there was no way low-level soldiers would have been able to affect the outcome of a battle. In ancient times, only level-9 grand swordmasters could have been considered as elites and warriors above level-7, considered as soldiers. Any remaining professionals could have only served as auxiliary troops at most, being used for all sorts of miscellaneous tasks.

In Myers Mainland, such ways were becoming reality. The key in that battle was Sika alone. Sika had broken the metal wars.h.i.+p and Saleen destroyed the ones manning the magic cannons on the s.h.i.+p. The Ancient was only able to continue to dominate at sea after that.

Genga, who was controlling the Ancient, had gradually been backed to a corner. It was not until Saleen appeared that the Ancient regained control of things.

“Sika, do you think the world would get more boring, or more interesting, from here on out?” Saleen watched the fighting below and asked. That level-10 sorcerer lacked the courage to even storm the ancient. There were hundreds of enchanters on the Ancient. Those enchanters were of low levels and capable of only defending the s.h.i.+p, utterly incapable of long-ranged attacks.

Saleen had a.s.signed all decent enchanters to the Floating City. The number of enchanters on the Floating City had grown to over 10,000. The demonic spirits, imps, demons and supreme demons were of level-4 as enchanters at the very least. Most of those enchanters became capable of casting spells above level-7. The earliest 3,600 who served had even become capable of casting level-9 spells.

Any place with a magic net would have been a heaven for enchanters, and the entire Floating City was covered by a magic net.
