Theisio saw his knights giving up their lives and knew that it was due to his insufficient level. If he was able to reach level 15, he would be able to break through the s.p.a.ce’s barrier and communicate with his G.o.d.

Because the nature of sacrifices enabled the Lord of Glory to break through such obstacles to obtain the life force of the knights directly, which were then fed back to the knights in the form of divine power. As such, there would be no such thing as sealed s.p.a.ce.

Only sacrifices were not restricted in that s.p.a.ce, which meant the limit was imposed to rules below level 15. When someone reached level 15, they would be able to open up a portal through sheer force.

If it were inside the energy barrier, not even level 18 G.o.ds would be able to transfer power through planes.

The inner part of the cemetery only suppressed powers level 15, while the outer part suppressed powers at level 12.

The cemetery of the giant had clear layers, but only the bone crystals of the giant within the energy barrier was of true value. They were more precious than magic nuclei, given how they no longer existed in their world.

Saleen saw what was happening and threw hundreds of rocks at the knights intending to make the sacrifice.

The knights were incapable of performing sacrifices while running. They were incapable of evading the rocks when they slowed down. Saleen split his attention for attacks, continuing to throw level nine magic scrolls.

Theisio was unable to shake Saleen off, so he had to sustain his territory while moving towards the exit.

Theisio was able to stay alive due to being level 11 and having powers stored in the G.o.d Grace Staff to spare. If someone else had been bombarded by Saleen in such a manner, they would be killed a long time ago.

“Let’s see how long you can keep this up!” Saleen added a level 11 wind magic scroll scroll in the ma.s.s of level nine scrolls.

Countless Wind Blades cut up fine cracks in the s.p.a.ce above Theisio in an instant, cutting through Theisio’s defense through sheer force. Two red-robed bishops were cut up, and their blood was sucked by the power of vacuum generated, reducing them to little more than two pieces of skin in mere moments.

The Divine Protection was still largely intact, but it was unable to keep the holy masters alive.

Theisio felt rage burst through his body. He never expected the restrictions of the s.p.a.ce was so solid that he was unable to cast many of his divine spells, relying solely on the powers in the G.o.d Grace Staff. He was wondering if the elites of his Pivotal Council would all die in the cemetery.

“Don’t make me do this, Saleen!”

“Oh, Theisio, I am making you do this! What are you going to do?” Saleen was only 500 meters away. To a level ten professional, the distance was like having a grand swordmaster standing ten meters away.

“Bishops, I’m unable to take you all and leave. Would you be willing to give your lives to G.o.d?”

Theisio’s Bramble Crown let out a deafening sound.

“Lord of Glory, you shameless scoundrel!” Saleen shouted loudly. Thunder roared, but it did not stop Theisio’s divine spell.

“Lord Pope, we are willing!”

The remaining holy masters were able to see that it was near impossible for them to escape. The mage in the sky seemed to possess limitless mental powers. Level nine magic spells rained down and pinned the pope, preventing him from retaliating.

“Well then, let’s…do this together!” Theisio’s voice carried mystical powers. The remaining 40 red-robed bishops opened their holy codeses and began chanting prayers of sacrifice.

“Demons!” Saleen shouted, and hundreds of demons formed a large magic array. Every demon was giving their lives as well. It was Constellation Sacrifice, a spell that Saleen had prepared for a long time.

The lives of hundreds of demons were quickly drained. All of them had several thousands of years of life. Some even had up to ten thousand. With the ma.s.sive numbers sacrificed, the demons’ sacrifice was far more potent than the red-robed bishops.

Black rain fell from above, splattering Theisio’s defense territory.

The rainwater seeped through, and the Divine Protection of the holy masters chanting prayers was stripped layer by layer. The black rain fell onto their red robes and bounced, but the droplets that landed on their skin corroded their flesh and went straight for the bone.

The red-robed bishops all sported twisted looks, as they bore the pain and continued their chants.

The black rain continued to fall down on them. The three teams that Saleen had set up earlier had to retreat. Rainwater seeped in through the cracks in the armor of the knights that were hit, manifesting as magic bugs that bit the knights.

It was only the beginning. A huge magic array formed in the sky, and a divine rune charm array was not far away from the magic array.

Saleen aimed a level 11 magic spell and shot it into the divine rune charm array. The spell punched through the divine rune charm array, but was unable to do anything. The divine rune charm array had to be above level 13, as it was unable to be destroyed by a level 11 magic spell.

Sacrificial arts worked slowly but were difficult to interrupt, just like how Theisio was just as helpless in stopping Saleen from sacrificing the demons.

Theisio wore a solemn expression and continued to lead the severely injured holy masters in loud prayers.

As pope, the effect of his prayers was the most apparent. The divine rune charm array was unusually clear in the sky. A G.o.d clad in white armor emerged from the divine rune charm array.

A huge devil emerged from the magic array of the demons as well, preparing to fight.

Saleen’s tricks were all used up. The Thunder Dragon Blaster needed 20 more minutes to recharge, and the lightning could only be cast in a day. The family badge needed nearly a year before it was able to be used again.

Saleen had no time to be concerned about the potential dangers. He dove, clad in extremely resilient water elemental crystals. He could cover the 500 meter in a single breath using Comet Flash.

Crack!

Saleen’s finger broke again. The finger was pointing at Theisio’s Bramble Crown.

That was not Saleen’s mistake in targeting, but a result of the Bramble Crown’s power.

Saleen poured magic medicines that he had prepared beforehand to heal his finger. All 12 spells on his Starline Robe were cast at the same time.

Theisio was wrapped in dark element all of a sudden. It was a level 11 Endless Night, and Theisio was being attacked magically from all directions.

The sacrifice was finally halted. The G.o.d in the divine rune charm array became somewhat blurred, but the divine rune charm array was still intact. Saleen’s magic spell had surrounded Theisio completely. The remaining 11 spells cut the holy masters up to pieces.

None of the dead bodies was in one piece. The power of earth, water, wind, fire, light and darkness was at work.

The magic of all six elements was cast by Saleen. The level 11 spell was hidden within the magic array burst, and there was nothing the level nine holy masters could do to stop it.

Rarrr!

Theisio’s Seal of Divine Power broke through the Endless Night, and he saw the result of Saleen’s work at the same time. All of his holy masters were slaughtered by a flurry of magic spells from Saleen.

That would not have been the outcome if all seven of the level ten holy masters were still intact!

Saleen’s battles were all interconnected, and there was no way Theisio knew that Saleen would be able to cast that many level 11 magic spells.

Level 11 spells were indefensible to level nine holy masters.

Only four of the holy masters were able to rapidly burn their lives in time, and their bodies disintegrated into holy light, attacking Saleen. However, the Water s.h.i.+eld on Saleen’s body was level ten and there were four layers of it. Every layer was packed with lightning magic patterns.

The only good lightning magic patterns did was defend against energy attacks, and they were particularly effective at doing so.

The Flower of Evil spun again, giving birth to 360 evil angels. Saleen cast another level 11 Endless Night. That dark elemental magic was very potent and its greatest use was trapping enemies, before killing them.

Saleen was unable to kill Theisio in time and given how the pope was armed with the G.o.d Grace Staff, he would be unable to kill the pope anyway.

The strike from the Crystal Finger was blocked by the Bramble Crown, rendering it unusable for the time being, but Saleen was unable to use the Crystal Finger as well. He would thoroughly deplete his magic chords if he used it again.

Saleen turned around and pounced on the Flower of Evil, taking out his family badge and pressing it onto the divine spell.

He had not used that function of the family badge in a long time. As his level grew, Saleen was caught in such dire predicaments less and less.

The Thunder Dragon Blaster was more than enough to take care of all of his problems in battle usually.

A frightening shriek was heard from within the Flower of Evil when Saleen’s family badge was pressed onto the divine spell.

“Lightning badge! How could such a thing still exist?”

The petals of the Flower of Evil imploded violently, as it intended to hide itself in the void, but raging powers burst from the lightning-shaped gash on Saleen’s family badge, sucking the petals in piece by piece.

The petals of the Flower of Evil were torn and sounds that were usually only heard during landslides were heard.

A satisfying moan was heard from the family badge.

“Lightning badge, spare me!” A shrill voice begged from the center of the Flower of Evil.

Saleen’s family badge paid no heed as it continued to absorb the petals’ powers. Theisio was only able to escape Endless Night then. His robe was torn to shreds, revealing the long tunic underneath.

The pope as not allowed to dress in black clothing according to the rules of the Holy See.

Theisio saw the Flower of Evil begging as soon as he escaped from the Endless Night. He threw the Seal of Divine Power in the air, intending to retrieve the Flower of Evil, but Saleen’s family badge opened a black hole, swallowing the flower completely.

It was the first time Saleen saw new tricks played by the badge, and he found it baffling.

It was the power of rules; specifically, rules of lightning.

In the s.p.a.ce surrounding the family badge, less than 100 meters away, lightning flashed. None of the sounds were heard. If Saleen had not already established a mystical connection with the badge, he would not have been able to see the changes.

The Seal of Divine Power wailed and dropped onto Theisio’s hand.

Theisio turned and ran. The G.o.d’s specter in the divine rune charm array broke free, but Theisio no longer felt that he had any chance of coming out on top.

What Saleen had made even the Seal of Divine Power shudder in fear.
