There were the other five elements as well, but they were relatively small in concentration.

Saleen no longer hesitated. He chanted lightning runes in a low voice, resonating with the 24 thunder dragons in his necklace. The thunder dragons had been kept since birth. Time within the necklace pa.s.sed quickly, and they cost a lot to keep.

At present, every single thunder dragon had reached level ten, and all of them were waiting for nutrients to keep advancing.

“Come out!” Saleen shouted and all 24 thunder dragons burst out of the necklace, letting out thunderous roars that shocked everyone as they circled around Saleen. Their huge head lowered affectionately and nudged Saleen’s head.

Even Nailisi was startled. Green magic patterns covered the thunder dragons’ bodies, and they looked completely different from their level eight brethren.

What was more notable was that there were two horns on each of the thunder dragon’s heads. The lightning magic patterns on their horns gleamed with golden light.

After playing with Saleen for a bit, they lined up behind him. Everyone witnessed the frightening scene of the 24 thunder dragons forming a huge magic array.

A ball of lightning formed at the center of the magic array.

Saleen was unable to achieve any results despite having researched lightning for such a long time, but the thunder dragons were able to comprehend their workings naturally.

However, the 24 thunder dragons were a low enough level to necessitate a magic array before being able to conjure a ball of lightning. However, it was more than enough. Saleen was elated as he commanded the thunder dragons to send the lightning outside the tower.

The lightning was grey and it looked flighty, making it seem harmless. Not even Saleen’s Elemental Eye was able to find anything abnormal about it. He figured the ball was around level seven. Furthermore, it moved extremely slowly.

The water element spirit was very worried as the magic tower was very weird. However, it did not concern itself with the lightning shooting out of the tower.

A spell for probing. How boring.

The element spirit cast a level 12 spell. A multi-faceted objected appeared before it. It looked strange that a thousand-meter-tall being cast a spell that was only about 100 meters in diameter.

The element spirit was actually on guard against Saleen. What happened next totally exceeded its expectations. The grey ball lightning phased through the multi-faceted magic crystallization and headed straight for it.

The water type element spirit stomped and a level 13 snake shot out, opening its mouth and swallowing the grey ball.

The problem with the ball of lightning was that it moved slowly, and given Saleen’s current level, he had no way of controlling it. There was also no way for the thunder dragons to control it like human mages could.

After the huge snake gobbled up the ball lightning, its neck burned with a puff. The bones where the fire burned were reduced to ash.

The water type element spirit discovered that the level 13 water magic beast that was under its control had lost its soul altogether.

The grey lightning disappeared, as if it never existed. The water type element spirit turned and intended to run, but quickly realized that there was no way for the mage to possess such frightening powers. It was definitely something conjured by a piece of equipment.

A huge ice hammer was conjured in the water type element spirit’s hand, and it brought the hammer down hard onto the tower.

The head of the hammer was over 200 meters long, and it smashed right onto the top of the Magical Element Tower. The tower’s body shook violently and Salen laughed. He hardly felt anything within the tower itself.

Anything constructed out of level 18 element.i.te would have its weaknesses exploited through magic attacks, as any crafting methods would leave seams in one way or another. However, it was nigh-impossible to crush element.i.te using physical attacks.

The water type element spirit’s strike caused the tower to sink, dispersing over half of the force sustained, while the hammer was quickly rattled and almost sent the hand holding it flying off.

Saleen’s senses exchanged with the thunder dragons at high speed. The thunder dragons were incapable of speech, but Saleen knew that they were capable of casting three more b.a.l.l.s. That was their limit. They were unable to launch any more attacks after that and would need rest.

Saleen was troubled. The b.a.l.l.s of lightning was incredibly powerful, so much so that not even level 13 beings were able to withstand its might, but he had no control over the spell. The enemy had been fooled once and probably would not be stupid enough to eat another one.

Unless he was able to convert the skill to something of his own, the spell would be little more than bangs and flashes.

Saleen felt the severe lack of skills on his part. If he were able to comprehend the highest lightning rules and became capable of conjuring lightning of all kinds, no one would be able to overwhelm him through level difference.

At the very least, his mental powers were not that much weaker than the elemental creature’s. It was possible to lock onto it. But do I really want to use the family badge and kill it?

“Use that thing, master,” Nailisi urged Saleen.

Saleen made up his mind. Even if he had to kill the spirit and no longer get an elemental creature to serve as a weapon spirit, he would not let it escape. The plane was filled with water. If that water type element spirit intended to run, there would be no way for him to locate it.

Saleen’s eyes were cold and his heart ached. The precious soul of the water type element spirit was wiped out in a single shot by the thick lightning bolt from the family badge. A hole with a diameter of tens of meters was seen where the heart of the water type element spirit was.

Water element at the edge of the hole was being disintegrated by the residual electricity, breaking down into finer matter, millions of times smaller than elemental particles.

However, that form was unable to be kept for long. A black hole appeared where the wound of the water type element spirit was, absorbing the entire being’s body into it.

The tower was sent flying by the resulting force, but Saleen was elated instead of startled, throwing the Lightning Cage out in an instant, intending to cage the ball of vermillion light in it.

Sealing did not work, so he had to capture it by force.

The vermillion ball of light expanded at breakneck speed. The ball of light collapsed in an instant. A new water type element spirit was born from the core of the ball of light.
