“Indeed. The ones used by the Holy See are nothing but cheap knockoffs. This is true divine crafting, an art that creates life that possesses a soul,” Jason said calmly, as if none of it was actually worth mentioning.

“Just how powerful is this elemental envoy?”

Jason thought for a bit. “If I advanced to level 12 and brought the elemental envoy with me, no enemy at level 13 would be a problem.”

Saleen understood what he meant. The elemental envoy’s usefulness exceeded his expectations. The power difference between level 12 and 13, was tens, even hundreds, of times more than the difference between level 11 and 12.

Jason had been capable enough to deal with a level 11 elemental creature without breaking a sweat. With the elemental envoy in his possession, it was akin to being invincible below level 12.

But only if the enemy did not happen to possess stronger equipment.

Anyone was capable of crafting and possessing equipment. Saleen had seen many powerful pieces of equipment with his own eyes, including the mark of the Six-winged Flying Snake.

He had no idea how to counter its power if it were used against him. His only countermeasure was to destroy it with his family badge.

However, Saleen’s family badge required half a year to recharge. The Thunder Dragon Blaster was powerful but definitely not undefeatable like his family badge.

Even high level G.o.dly items would have their attributes wiped clean by the lightning bolt unleashed from his family badge.

“Teacher, do you mind letting me see what it’s capable of?” Saleen was feeling antsy. It was the very first time he had come across such a mystical piece of equipment. It was alive, hardly any different from any other living beings.

“Alright then, let’s have a look.” Jason brought his student to the 15th floor of the tower. “You’ll see what the true power of territories is like!” Jason cast his two-fold territory.

Jason’s two-fold territory was different. The Water Flame Territory and Blazing Flame Territory were no longer what they used to be. The Water Flame used to be white, not silver. Blazing Flame turned black with a tinge of gold.

The two territories mashed together and formed a s.p.a.ce with black and silver melding with one another.

Within that s.p.a.ce, the distance of single hair’s thickness meant temperature changes between melting and freezing.

The territory was cut into very thin, discrete layers. Even the s.p.a.ce of a hair was cut into thousands of s.p.a.ces. Saleen knew that it was not the final effect. Jason would only be able to bring the true two-fold territory to bear using his magic amplifier.

The area of control of the territory was being compressed as much as possible by Jason.

He told his student, “my area of control of this territory can reach up to 60 meters. When the territory is finished, I will advance to level 11, and then the radius of my territory will be 240 meters. After I advance to level 12, the radius will grow to 1000 meters.”

Saleen clicked his tongue. While his territory had a far wider radius, its powers were 1000 times weaker than his teacher’s. The elemental envoy stood right behind Jason. Saleen was unable to see any signs of the elemental envoy providing energy to Jason, but there was no doubt that every skill that Jason used centered around him and the elemental envoy.

“The elemental envoy can actually fight on its own. The reason I allowed you to see it is in the hope that you won’t mimic others all the time in your efforts in alchemy from here on out. You’re very, very smart. Of all the Sreeger Island mages I’ve seen, none are as diligent and intelligent as you are,” Jason encouraged Saleen.

He waved at the elemental envoy after saying the words. The elemental envoy transformed into a wooden bracelet, flying towards Jason and secured itself on his wrist.

The wooden bracelet looked entirely different from the Withering Dance. It was a black bracelet with silver patterns on it. Saleen was unable to read the patterns and deduce their use. It might have been invented by Jason.

“Alright, we spent six days here and the element.i.te has absorbed ample magic patterns. Let’s get back to Metatrin City.”

Saleen thought for a bit. His teacher had gathered enough elemental creatures and succeeded in crafting the elemental envoy. There was no need for him to continue hunting for beings in the abyss, as Nailisi had captured huge amounts of elemental creatures.

He had no need to worry about fuel for his magic power furnace for a very long time.

However, Saleen was unable to fathom what Jason meant by the Magical Element Tower absorbing magic patterns. He expanded his senses and looked into every corner of the tower, finding that huge amounts of mystical, inexplicable magic patterns filled in the inner s.p.a.ces of the tall tower.

The magic patterns, which filled the inside and outside of the volcano, had been crafted by ancient humans.

The tower had not absorbed them, but given how the volcano was at the brink of collapse, the seemingly semi-sapient magic patterns had automatically found their way inside the Magical Element Tower.

The tower itself would not refuse the infusion of magic patterns as they posed no threat. In comparison to the element.i.te used to construct the tower, the magic patterns’ level was low.

The core of the Sky City had even began to actually absorb the magic patterns, altering the exterior of the Magical Element Tower.

Saleen realized something. When one’s magic training reached the absolute pinnacle, everything would look alive. The magic patterns had been semi-sapient, and Saleen never noticed.

The fire type element spirit did not either as it only knew wanton destruction, never realizing that the magic patterns were far more cunning than it was, choosing to hide deep within the volcano instead.

Saleen took one last reluctant look at the Imperial City of the Abyss. It was truly a treasure trove. If there were a day where he would have no need to fear the grandmaster, he would bring the entire city with him.

He would take everything of value with him, just like what he did with the G.o.ddess’ temples.

Jason was still at the tower’s helm. Fire element crystals were thrown into the magic power furnace and orange fire shot out of the rear end of the tower. The tower was able to break the seawater and shoot upwards thanks to the thrust provided by the fires.

They were not using the magic patterns’ power, but simply used the magic arrays at the bottom of the tower. The method of propulsion allowed the Magical Element Tower to regain speed at over 300 miles per hour.

The magic arrays needed a two-hour break for every six hours. Saleen took the two hours to cast his Puppet Territory and hunt for magic beasts at the Oceanic Ice Block.

Saleen was unable to help but recall the first time he came to the Oceanic Ice Block. He needed the power of the Pan Turtle Alchemy s.h.i.+p’s powers to get his way around before daring to venture in such a terrible environment. Now, just like his teacher, he had no need for any equipment for chasing at giants in the deep waters.

When he possessed territorial powers, the gigantic ocean life was no longer something difficult to deal with. With the territory at work, the puppets simply rushed and ganged up at their target. Even single-horned white whales would eventually fall against such an onslaught.

What made Saleen envious was his teacher’s elemental envoy. The construct was not only a magic amplifier, but also a puppet-like bonded creature.

Jason helped Saleen hunt for beings and the elemental envoy attacked just like Jason would; the only difference was that the elemental envoy did not possess Jason’s territories.

Saleen was very envious of his teacher and began to have thoughts of his own. When he possessed Lightning Territory, he would definitely be able to craft an even more powerful magic amplifier.

He had gotten his is necklace from the G.o.ddess of Myers. The necklace was not a G.o.dly item; it was a pure mage’s equipment. Six Element’s Heavy Water and 24 thunder dragons filled the necklace’s internal s.p.a.ce.

The 24 thunder dragons could be made into weapon spirits while the G.o.ddess’ necklace could act as a natural magic amplifier!

Furthermore, the thunder dragons had been living within the necklace’s s.p.a.ce since they hatched. They could continue to grow when they became weapon spirits. When there was a need for it, they could even be unleashed to do battle.
