604 Duel Of The Aces!?

The requirements for the Great Dreadlords that wanted a rebirth were extremely harsh, especially those wanting a rebirth gained from these Sorcerers.

So harsh that ever since the beginning of the Nightmare World, no Dreadlord had ever succeeded in this rebirth.

There was even news that had started to spread...

That if there were still no new hope in the Nightmare World, then the Dreadlords would have to start a war amongst each other. The reason was because only when a Dreadlord could send all the Fright Energy into the Sorcerers World and pull an official Sorcerer into the Nightmare World, only then would there be a chance of rebirth for another Dreadlord!

Yet the Nightmare Phantom Dreadlord actually did forcibly pull a Sorcerer from the Sorcerers World in...

Could it be, that there was already a Dreadlord in the Nightmare World whose Fright Energy had already dissipated?

Impossible!

Not many changes had occurred to the laws of the Nightmare World so it would be impossible for there to be a dissipation in the Fright Energy of a Dreadlord.

Although he was puzzled, the Dream Watcher King did not care much.

A chance at rebirth was right before his eyes. The moment he was done with this rebirth, a new beginning would come. The present Nightmare World was no longer the glorious Nightmare World in the ancient times.

If not for the special immortality trait of the illusory world supporting the Horrifying Creatures, the Nightmare World would have been annihilated by the Sorcerers World a million times over!

"Got it."

After the Dream Watcher King replied with those two words, the Taste Bud King immediately turned and left the castle.

Seated at the center of the many Horrifying Creatures in the castle, Grimm, who had his heart beating so fast that it could have leaped out of his throat, let out a huge breath of relief. The one that the Taste Bud King had sensed could be him!

So it really was that Nightmare Mist Dreadlord that had his eyes set on him. This Nightmare World was indeed far too dangerous.

Hum...

Right at this moment, a wave of movement came from the World Aperture behind the Dream Watcher King. An image of a Sorceress under the distortion of s.p.a.ce and time appeared from within the blurriness.

It was a Black Sorceress-Apprentice. Her beauty was astonis.h.i.+ng with her snow-white skin under her black locks of hair. She was holding a magic staff of camouflage elements.

"Where am I? What are you guys?"

The dreaming Black Sorceress-Apprentice who saw all the monsters started to panic as she backed away. She wanted to exit from the doors behind her yet the doors would not budge no matter how hard she tried to open them.

Thud!

Suddenly, the Dream Watcher King kneeled before the Black Sorceress-Apprentice and said humbly, "Mistress, these darn slaves wanted to go against your will and were planning to a.s.sa.s.sinate you, but I've seen through their plans. However, they are your valuable a.s.sets, how should I deal with them?"

In between the Dream Watcher King's words, a three meter tall Horrifying Creature that was nearest to the Sorceress yelled as it dashed toward the Black Sorceress-Apprentice.

"Ah..."

In the nightmare, the Black Sorceress-Apprentice panicked like a normal little girl would, as she had no idea what to do.

She had completely forgotten that she was a Sorceress.

"Bang!" Suddenly, the Dream Watcher King slammed his hand on the Horrifying Creature. The Horrifying Creature was shattered by the Dream Watcher King's palm as blood gushed out and splattered onto the the eyes of the Black Sorceress-Apprentice.

"My apologies, mistress. I've damaged your valuable a.s.sets, I deserve to die!"

The Dream Watcher King shouted loudly as if he had made some grave mistake. His huge body was trembling under the feet of the Black Sorceress-Apprentice.

At that moment, the splattering blood mist turned into a blur and later vanished. The same Horrifying Creature appeared in a distance fully intact as it shouted and dashed toward the Black Sorceress-Apprentice once again. This did not correspond to the laws of the real world, it was as if that monster could not be killed.

The other Horrifying Creatures of the Nightmare World began roaring one by one as they all dashed toward the Black Sorceress-Apprentice.

"Ah..."

The Black Sorceress-Apprentice was terrified as she exclaimed, "Kill them, kill these filthy slaves, kill these disgusting guinea pigs, I can't stand their odor or the look they've been giving me anymore! Kill them all, don't leave any behind, kill them all!"

The Black Sorceress-Apprentice shouted loudly.

"Yes, just like that. Slam into them, crush them, kill them in the cruelest way!"

The Black Sorceress-Apprentice seemed to be venting in the most pleasurable way.

In the Sorcerers World, she had to endure the nauseousness from those slaves that were test subjects. She was irritated by the hate in their eyes when they looked at her, yet they were her valuable a.s.sets. She could not simply kill them to vent out what she really felt.

"Mistress, is this fine?"

The Dream Watcher King 'killed' the ever das.h.i.+ng monkeys again and again, swiftly and incisively, allowing the violent psychological nature of the Black Sorceress-Apprentice to fully surface.

"He he he, yes, just like that, how amazing..."

Time went by little by little.

The blood crescent moon was about to go down as the black sun was about to rise. A new day in the Sorcerers World and the Nightmare World was about to arrive, yet the Black Sorceress-Apprentice was still reveling in the Nightmare World as she was venting out the oppressed excitement from her daily life, showing no signs of wanting to leave.

"Yes, this is the feeling… how pleasant… kill them… Ahh!"

Suddenly, the Black Sorceress-Apprentice lowered her head to see a transparent claw painted in blood, sticking out of her chest. After shouts of pain—despair and fear, she turned into a puff of black smoke and squeezed back into the world behind her as the World Aperture closed up and vanished.

"Dream Watcher King, I've killed her just like you asked!"

In that brief silence where the Dream Watcher King and the other Horrifying Creature were all silent, Grimm pretended to exclaim excitedly.

Of course, what the Dream Watcher King could see was only Grimm's b.l.o.o.d.y hand under the stealth mode provided by the Lamp of Awakening.

Even the blood was turning into black smoke.

"You… ugh!"

His palms swung and, just like the other Horrifying Creatures, Grimm was shattered by the Dream Watcher King. Blood splattered into the air.

Soon after, just like the other Horrifying Creatures in the Nightmare World, or like Solumn, Grimm's body was restored once again. It was as if nothing had happened to him.

However, Grimm was completely hidden now.

"Ugh, I am gonna bury you under my castle until the end of the Nightmare World, argh..."

As the black sun of the Nightmare World rose, a new day had arrived. The Dream Watcher King was still growling angrily yet he vanished like the other Horrifying Creatures.

It was daytime, the time where every creature in the Nightmare World stayed in a single person world of loneliness.

"So this is what it feels like to be immortal? Dying yet feeling like death is just another illusion in this illusory world. It's like a cut on a painting, regaining life by merely just a few strokes made by the artist."

Grimm had not gotten used to his ident.i.ty as a Horrifying Creature in the Nightmare World. Breathing heavily in shock as he watched the entire Nightmare World and the distorted castle, he reached for the Starfall Renaissance Craft after leaving the castle in huge steps.

Vroom! The Starfall Renaissance Craft flew to a distance, vanis.h.i.+ng without a trace.
