460 The Maze Of The Sea Serpent Xii

Grimm yelled loudly, and suddenly the densely packed ice birds streamed at the direction where the Sabbatic Goat Staff pointed at as if it was a flowing river that was frozen.

Poof, poof, poof, poof, poof, poof…

As the frozen river flew, the ice birds exploded continuously and formed into huge pieces of ice crystals that soon acc.u.mulated into an ice wall.

The Thousand-eyed Carcinus took advantage of the force from the explosions and sped up to dash forward and escape at a speed far exceeding its maximum capability.

Grimm acted as if he had gone crazy.

As if losing all sanity, he released all of his magical power without any reserve causing the waves of the icy river that was formed by the flowing ice birds to growl and pound wildly.

Being a Level 1 sorcerer himself, the first time when Grimm had offended the mighty World Lord was when he chose to adhere to objectives and stay firm on his beliefs during a mission that he had taken when he was a Dark Sorcerer. This time, it was purely because of the natural survival instinct that had driven him insane.

Not every low-level creature would dare to make the first move in going up against lifeforms of a higher level.

"It's useless! Your struggle will not change anything!"

As it growled, the black flames rammed through the layers of ice immediately transforming them back to their original elemental state.

Grimm remained unaffected by the surroundings and closed his eyes. He let out a deep growl like a beast as ice birds continuously appeared from the top of the Sabbatic Goat Staff. They rushed toward the direction of the black flames.

The gigantic hand covered in black flames took a wave toward Grimm and met the ice birds which all exploded at once. The explosions, however, seemed ineffective in blocking the gigantic hand.

The hand started to move carefully.

Unlike the previous time, the gigantic hand moved cautiously trying to not trigger vibrations in the void tunnel that might cause it to collapse.

Grimm and the Thousand-eyed Carcinus were almost crushed by the gargantuan hand. Even Grimm's robe started to disintegrate and disappear, and the brownish-red hair on the back of the Thousand-eyed Carcinus had already turned into ashes.

Under the ma.s.sive pressure, Grimm had great difficulty trying to breathe. It was also difficult for the Thousand-eyed Carcinus to move forward as if stuck in a pool of mud.

Boom!

Suddenly, a light flashed briefly from Grimm and the Thousand-eyed Carcinus, before completely disappearing from the void tunnel.

"Roar…disgusting!"

The Infernal G.o.d pushed the layers of ice in anger and roared, "You can't run away! You can't run away! You can't run away!"

A similar light flashed from the Infernal G.o.d too and it immediately felt that it had moved to a different world as the surroundings blurred.

It immediately felt the familiar feeling of being stuck in a narrow aperture s.p.a.ce, while extending its head surrounded by flaming black flames out into the Burrow World gate.

Its gigantic hand was no longer restrained and it could continue to release wild energy again. Without any mercy, it immediately pushed toward the direction of Grimm and Thousand-eyed Carcinus who had just entered the Burrow World. It roared excitedly, "You can't run away… run…"

There was a short moment of silence when every movement in the surroundings paused. The Infernal G.o.d felt as if its heartbeat had stopped as looked around the Burrow World's surroundings with its pale blue eyes.

"This… this… can't be real?!"

The upper part of the Infernal G.o.d's body was stuck between the gate of the Burrow World. It extended its gigantic hand out further and was about slam onto the Thousand-eyed Carcinus and Grimm. At the same time, he was closing his eyes and constantly releasing an insane amount of ice birds.

They were now about to fall into the crus.h.i.+ng hands of the Infernal G.o.d as if toys for its pleasure.

However…

The sky was covered completely by hundreds of thousands of soul slaves that had formed into an army of creatures, similar to the surroundings of the Infernal Spirit World. They surrounded and blocked the gate of the Burrow World.

There were almost a hundred Bright Demon-Hunters lined up closely which then formed up into a square. The elemental lights from all of the demon-hunters joined together into a glowing ribbon.

Voids.h.i.+ps about 300 meters in length were arranged in a line with their attached Occult Pulverizers aimed toward the world gate. Icy light that reflected off the metal formed into a ring of light that was similar to the giant crest of a deep valley, releasing a terrifying amount of energy to its surroundings.

Within the surroundings of the world gate…

"Hehe, hehehe, hehehe, hehehe!"

Another black gigantic hand appeared. It was about a hundred meters wide, around the same width as the skull of the Infernal G.o.d. The gigantic hand was icy cold, cruel and ruthless as it grabbed the skull that was covered with black flames.

The gigantic hand gripped the skull hard much like a sorcerer that was holding a pair of ears from a rabbit specimen sitting on top of a laboratory workstation.

With a loud "boom", the gigantic hand captured firmly onto the skull of the Infernal G.o.d.

"Hehehe, got you, you can't run now!"

The threatening, evil, and excited laugh came from Black Isotta that guarded the world gate.

Another booming sound came out and another gigantic hand from Black Isotta that was filled with energy gripped the other side of the skull with both hands forming into a circular ring.

"No!"

The Infernal G.o.d let out a moan in despair desperately trying to get back into the void tunnel.

It was a powerful creature that was horrifying and indescribable, more haunting than the First Acraepoid King; as terrifying as an ancient primordial creature.

As the creature was from ancient times, it was something the Infernal G.o.d was incapable of going against!

The struggle and growls from the Infernal G.o.d did little to help its escape into the world gate.

As if both of the black gigantic hands had implanted roots within the skull of the Infernal G.o.d, the Infernal G.o.d continued struggling while Black Isotta continued the excited and evil laughter.

It was then that the gate of the Burrow World started to burst from the ma.s.sive pulling force of the gigantic hands. The Infernal G.o.d was forcefully pulled out bit by bit.

"Nooo…"

The Infernal G.o.d let out a final growl before being dragged into the Burrow World by a giant transformed by Black Isotta, a giant that stood up to a thousand meters tall.

A booming sound was heard as the palm of the giant slapped onto the surface of the ground.

Boom!

Tremors spread across the ice-caked ground of the Burrow World, and waves of deafening sounds blasted from the impact of the fallen Infernal G.o.d.

A moment later, the ground of the Burrow World cracked and formed a pit that spread across the ground tens of thousands of meters wide. As soon as the ice on the surface of the ground cracked, it immediately melted and evaporated into steam.

The giant pit was about few hundred meters in depth.

The Infernal G.o.d was in disbelief as it looked up to the sky where the thousand-meter black giant stood, a giant that was surrounded by excessive energy forces that were impossible to control.

Unintentionally, small bouts of energy slipped out of its control and caused collapses around the surrounding s.p.a.ce.

"Is this…the legendary G.o.d of all G.o.ds?

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Four shadows that had been transformed by Stigmata Sorcerers cast out four deadly strikes toward the Infernal G.o.d that was resisting desperately.

A moment later, the surrounding ground was scattered and smashed. Mountains were being flattened, and hundreds of irregularly shaped holes appeared on the ground which resulted from the earlier impact.

"My Lord! You may save your magical power now! The mission has ended!" roared the Thousand-eyed Carcinus roared in grief.

Grimm slowly cleared his thoughts blurred from fear and looked around the familiar surroundings.

The top of his Sabbatic Goat Staff was still releasing endless amounts of ice birds toward the world gate.

"It is over?"

A motionless Grimm fainted on the back of the Thousand-eyed Carcinus with a plop.

The black flames that had melted the Ivory Armor covering Grimm's body seemed to drill into it.
