Zaffar recovered . . he gained consciousness, but he was still delirious . . it took two more days for him to recover . . once Pinaka got news that Zaffar was able to talk, he went and met him . . looking at Pinaka, Zaffar's face lost colour . . he paled and said, 'Prince, leave me . . I will go away . . I will never come back to Hindustan . . please . . don't put me back into the cell . . ' Pinaka didn't expect that Zaffar would break so quickly . . Zaffar was cruel minded, but he didn't know that he would be so weak . . he was a bandit, who almost grew up as an orphan . . yet his state of mind was so fragile . . Pinaka didn't believe his eyes . . he was not sure if all this was an act . . yet Zaffar was before his eyes . . looking helpless and broken . . his heart shook . .

Pinaka said, 'very well . . there is one condition . . I think you have realized that there is no one coming to help you . . ' Zaffar shook his head, hearing this there was despair evident in his eyes . . his only hope Mirza . . what happened to him . . was he killed . . the Shah couldn't be so ruthless . . he didn't know what happened to him . . so he has to agree to whatever conditions Pinaka would lay . . he said, 'Prince, whatever you say . . ' Pinaka's heart shuddered once more at Zaffar's helpless voice . . he said, 'Tell me if you know anything about a huge treasure . . ' Zaffar's eyes grew big with wonder . . Mirza said no one knew about it . . how come Pinaka knew about this . . was Mirza captured by Pinaka's men? didn't he make it to Shah? He didn't know anything . . he didn't have any option . . his life was more important . . his words . . they didn't have any weight . . for his revenge he could always come back . . as long as he was alive . . he could do anything in the future . . he was a bandit Lord . . not a n.o.ble king to stick to his promises . . however his state of heart now was as such that there is no other thought except that he wanted to live!

Pinaka said, 'tell me Zaffar . . do you know anything about the treasure . . ' Zaffar gulped, he searched his robes and took out a scroll . . he gave it to Pinaka . . it was written in Persian, Pinaka couldn't read it . . he summoned a translator immediately . . he read it and his eyes widened with wonder . . he said, 'this is a description of location . . it gives details to the greatest treasure ever known . . but this is not the first page 'Pinaka asked him the exact location as per the scroll . . once he got the information . , he gave a bag of gold coins to the translator and asked him to keep quiet . . since he was loyal to the Gupta dynasty, he would remain quiet . . Pinaka went to Zaffar and said, 'where is the first page? ' Zaffar said,'its with my subordinate . . but I don't know where he is now . . ' Pinaka said,'alright . . the condition you need to fulfill to earn your freedom is that you need to take your generals and probe the location . . . come back and report to me the details . . two of my men would be with you . . if you plan to escape . . you would be killed on the spot . . '
