92 Lottery

After a simple breakfast I searched through the store and found several promising exercise routines. The exercise routines, when practiced diligently would give the pract.i.tioner additional status points. The additional status points were actually quite high, giving a single point per day. the point was randomly distributed to one of the 5 physical stats.

There were also specialized exercise routines that could be used to raise a single stat, or a specific set of stats. Whatever choice was made would be permanent as a person could only practice a single exercise routine.

There were also routines that could be used to raise the level of your mental stats, but these were much more expensive than the physical ones. The cheapest of these were around 10,000 coins while the most expensive would cost a few million. The prices were far beyond me at the moment and I could only sigh as I looked at them.

I ended up purchasing the exercise routine that would strengthen my strength, vitality, and const.i.tution. I was not planning on actively putting any of my stat points into these in the future, so getting them for free based on simple exercises would be my best bet.

The exercise routine ending up costing me a total of 1500 coins, but I was happy with the price. 1,500 coins was actually rather average. The most expensive was around 4,000 and the cheapest around 500 coins.

I began my exercise routine shortly after I purchased it. It was actually a rather simple exercise routine that involved basic muscle strengthening and some cardio. Most of the process was built around gaining stamina, so at the beginning the exercises were rather simple. The problem was that the exercise routine was actually rather long. It took me a total of 2 hours to complete a single set, and I was supposed to finish 3 sets.

My body was already aching after I had finished the first set, but I knew that I would need to finish the entire work out to recieve any benefit. I forced myself to push through it.

My body collapsed to the ground when I completed the work out. I was rewarded with a notification from the system telling me I had gained a point in strength. An exhausted smile decorated my face as I read the notification. At least my hard work had not been in vain.

I let my body rest for a couple hours before I headed to the dungeon. During this time I went through my inventory to make sure I had everything I would need. Everything seemed to be in order. While I was looking I found some items I had long simce forgotten. They were t.i.tled [lottery draw]

They could only be used once a person reached C rank and would give them a random item available in the shop. Most of the time you would get something useless, but every once in a while you could hit big. Basically it was one of the battle chests you can purchase on online games that included random items.

With nothing else to do I decided to waste my time using my tickets. Maybe I would actually win something worthwhile. I selected the first ticket, and a rapidly spinning wheel appeared in front of me. Like the kind you would see on a slot machine.

The spinning started to slow, but I was still unable to see any of the potential prizes. When it finally began to slow to a speed that I could comprehend I saw that it truly did go through every item in the shop. Everything from used socks to legendary items.

I watched in antic.i.p.ation as the wheel slowly came came to a stop. Unfortunately it did not land on any kind of legendary or even rare item. But I counted myself fortunate that it did not land on someone's dirty socks either. Before I could even read what I had won it appeared before me.

What I had won was....

A pie to the face.

I licked the chocolate cream pie from my face as I scowled at the lottery. I could not believe my luck. A freaking pie to the face really? Well at least it tasted good.

With a morbid sense of antic.i.p.ation I selected the next ticket.

The wheel began to spin again, and the same antic.i.p.ation and excitement that I had experienced on the first ticket began to fill me. The spinner began to slowly stop, and my eyes went wide as I caught a glimpse of my prize.

It was another pie to the face! this time was cherry. What kind of lottery was this!! annoyed I selected my last 8 tickets all at the same time. I did not even watch the wheel spin as I found something to cover my face. Not this time lottery! Not this time!

I could feel the wheel stop and braced myself for impact. Fortunately the bombardment of pie that I had expected did not come. With a sigh of relief I lowered my blanket. It seems the G.o.ds had had mercy on my after all.

I had spoken to soon. As soon as my face was uncovered I was bombarded with a huge variety of flavors and crusts. Flavors I never even knew existed entered my mouth. Flavors that should not have ever been invented.

As I wiped the sticky mess from my face I could not help but curse at the lottery, but inside I could not wait to see Hylia's reaction when the same thing happened to her.

To my surprise when I was able to see again an object lay before me. A book with a bright purple cover.
