She was dead. The wound on her body had not healed. Her giant maul laid by her side. I could feel the familiar presence of the G.o.ddess. The presence seemed sad, and weaker than it had been before.

"I TRIED EVERYTHING I COULD. SHE WAS TO FAR GONE. THAT f.u.c.kING BUG. HOW DARE HE DO THIS. HOW DARE HE HARM MY CHAMPION. I WILL NOT FOGIVE THIS TRANSGRESSION. WE ARE GOING TO WAR YOUNG CONCUBINE. WE WILL WIPE HIS EXISTENCE FROM THE FACE OF KAOS."

As she spoke I felt the odd presence in my body move. The presence disappeared, but before me a small green tarantula appeared. It seemed to be bowing to the statue. I could hear a familiar voice in my mind.

"All is not lost Yuri. I have lost my body, but the G.o.ddess managed to save my soul. Through great sacrifice on her own part she managed to moving my soul before I died to this. .h.i.tchhiker. Unfortunately I will never get my body back. You will never again be able to play with my ears. But you are not alone. I am here."

I inspected the spider before me, and found that her words were true.

The spider before me was truly Hylia. The small, beautiful spider was really my precious Hylia. As I inspected it I noticed that it even had her red marking on it's small face. Spiders creeped me out, but I found this one rather adorable.

She had lost her cla.s.s, and all of her maul skills. She was not a humanoid and therefore could not have a cla.s.s. She had been reduced to level one, and her attributes had been reset. But she was capable of evolution. Perhaps in the future she would once again have a humanoid appearance.

With the emergence of her new body her soul bound equipment were quickly absorbed into her. This was only her earrings, but they were absorbed directly into her body, becoming a pa.s.sive skill instead.

She used half of her coins in one go. But the upgrades were well worth the cost. As a level one basic monster she was still weak, but these upgrades would become a valuable a.s.set in the future.

None of that really mattered though, I only cared that my beloved Hylia was still alive.
