26 Adventurers Guild Pt3

"You need to master one more spell. I actually happened to get a spell that is perfect for you, it has no use to me, so I will give it to you for 100 coins. "

I quickly nodded as I made the exchange. It was the last of my coins, but the spell would let me advance, regardless of what it was. When the trade was completed I felt a new magical energy swell up in my mind. When the information registerd in my mind I could not help but give Laurel an odd look.

She laughed as she saw me expression "I told you it was useless to me, just something I picked up from the goblin guard at the place you found me."

[Poison of l.u.s.t]

A strong aphrodisiac. While this magic is technically considered a spell, it is a pa.s.sive effect that is produced through the sweat of its "caster". This Aphrodisiac only effects those who the "caster" is attracted to, and who are likewise attracted to them.

I rolled my eyes at Laurel. "Just what I needed, combined with the [insatiable] trait I'm no better than those goblins from earlier."

Surprisingly she nodded. "Actually all of those goblins from where you found me knew that spell. I'm sure that spell was meant for you anyways, which is why I gave it to you for such a cheap price. That and its completely useless for most people. But it should help your.. cravings..."

As we spoke Alex looked completely lost. "What did she give you? what is the [Insatiable] talent?"

Laurel burst out in laughter while my face went beat red. Between her words she managed to choke out "Oh you will find out Alex, You will find out".

My face began to hurt from the amount of blood that rushed to my cheeks. Eventually Laurel calmed down enough to speak. "Ok so now you know about Yuri, But she needs to know about you Alex."

The confused look left Alex's face, replaced by a determined one. "My name is Alexandra Fury. I come from a long line of warriors. My father is a member of an S cla.s.s squad. My mother died when I was young so I was mostly raised by my father."

"Like my father I have no talent in magic, Don't look at me like that Yuri, most people have no talent with magic. Wizards are actually quite rare. Anyways, My father specialized in a single weapon, The greatsword. He wanted me to follow is his footsteps, but unfortunately I fell in love with a different weapon."

As she spoke she summoned said weapon from her inventory. Her "baby" was a large maul with a long handle. The metal head of the hammer was ma.s.sive, and had been inscribed with a cats paw.

"The two handed maul does not require much accuracy or finesse. That being the case my stats revolve around strength, agility, vitality and const.i.tution. Strength getting two points and the rest one."

"My cla.s.s is called Frenzied Mauler and gives me a double bonus on the amount of strength I gain."

I interrupted her here. "Wait, your cla.s.s gives you a bonus on your stat gain?"

Laurel nodded "All cla.s.ses have this option, it's a cla.s.s ability that costs 10 skill points. The stat that gains a bonus is dependent on the cla.s.s. Most a.s.sa.s.sins get a bonus to agility or dexterity, where as most wizards gain Intellegence or wisdom. Luckily regardless of when you purchase it, the points go back to when you first got the cla.s.s."

When I opened up my cla.s.s menu I found the skill that they were talking about. In my case it was a skill called [a.s.sa.s.sins edge]. When insanity the effects I could not deny how broken I was. Regardless I did not hesitate to purchase the skill. A familiar sense of raging power filled my body, as I once again recieved a huge surge in power.

[a.s.sa.s.sins Edge]

An a.s.sa.s.sin is a knife in the darkness, something that strikes without sight or sound and is gone before the victim even feels their own demise. User receives twice the amount of gain in the agility stat.

Laurel's eyes went wide and she through the cup of tea she had poured herself at me. My hand moved instinctively grabbing the cup before any of the fluid had spilled. Profanities began to rain from her mouth like a monsoon.
