“Dragon?” Richard was depressed as he thought, “Another creature of the Headless Horseman?” He yelled, “Run! Run to the other side!”

A majority of the men fled in terror while a minority lost their minds and rushed screaming towards the golden dragon, who opened his mouth and breathed fire. The scalding flames shot out and incinerated the entire underground pa.s.sage. It was purged clean of life.

Speedy ran in the front while his body emitted cold air. Behind him were Matcha's sinister laughs and screams of agony coming from the apostles.

“I am d*mned! Why did I capture such a hideous creature?” Speedy had a single thought and that was to run as far away as possible.

After turning a corner and seeing the final exit, he was filled with hopelessness.

Richard was not far behind as he came up second to the collapsed exit and gaped. He muttered dejectedly, “Our last hope is gone. Are we going to die?”

The other criminals arrived at the collapsed exit, which was filled with sand and mud, and were at a loss.

Matcha's evil laugh filled the air again as he said, “Hehehehe, come play with me.”

Argh!

Matcha lifted his paws and slapped the remaining apostles till they flew and landed on the ground bleeding and pa.s.sed out.

Richard shouted in desperation, “I have money. I have lots of money. I can give you all my money. Please let me off!” All the apostles knelt on the floor and begged for mercy.

Speedy was enraged as he yelled, “Do you think he will let you off after pleading? You have begged for mercy, is it useful?” He grabbed Richard and tried to haul him up as he shouted, “Get up and fight him to death! Even if we die, we will perish together!”

As Matcha was about to kill them, Zhao Yao stepped out of the Dimension Portal and appeared behind him.

“It takes a lot for a man to kneel down. Since you have knelt down sincerely to plead for mercy, I will forgive you.”

Zhao Yao was disguised as the Headless Horseman while he caressed Matcha's head and said, “If you give me all your money, I will let you go. I am not a devil after all.”

Seeing the mysterious headless man, everyone exclaimed, “Headless Horseman!”

Richard crawled forward on his knees, took out all his bank cards and said, “My entire fortune is here! I will write the access code in my cell phone! Thank you Headless Horseman for letting me go.”

Zhao Yao kept the bank card and the cell phone, nodded in satisfaction, and said, “You may leave!”

As Speedy left happily, the remaining apostles were exhilarated and they happily queued up to offer their money to Zhao Yao. They relaxed after knowing that they were not going to die.

“The Headless Horseman is not as cruel as the rumors said!”

Though the criminals were happy, Matcha felt very unhappy and pouted his lips at the leaving criminals.

Among the captured supercats was a mind reading supercat who was highly regarded by Zhao Yao.

“With the mind reading superpower, I will know what Matcha and the rest are thinking and it will be easier to manage them.”

After ending Matcha's revenge mission, Zhao Yao intended to meet the mind reading supercat and have a good chat with him. He wanted to convince the cat so that he could use his superpower.
