She saw everyone cras.h.i.+ng to the floor, including the masked men. It was as if their souls had been taken away by a mysterious force as they lay on the ground, unconscious.

"What happened?" Isabella could not believe the turn of events that happened and did not understand how it happened as well.

Suddenly, her vision turned blurry, and a man in a sporting attire appeared with his hands in his pocket. He was directly in front of earthquake cat.

"Is he the guy? Is he the guy who caused all of them to go unconscious?" Isabella stared at that guy's back as she tried to decipher his power. At that moment, he turned around.

His face was covered with a black surgical mask, and he had a black cap on. She could not see his face but could only make out his bloodshot eyes.

She felt chills down her spine when she saw the pair of red eyes glimmered in the dark.

"Red eyes?" it was already too late when Isabella realized that something was wrong.

Isabella had lost control of her body. Zhao Yao had her under his control with Elizabeth's ability. Elizabeth's illusion and power to control other living beings worked differently. Illusion depended on sound waves to propagate while the power to control required Zhao Yao to make eye contact with his opponent.

Elizabeth controlled Isabella by raising her pistol to her temple. Isabella thought that she would be forced to take her own life.

"He managed to control me with just one look. What exactly is his power?" Isabella knew at that moment that her fate no longer laid in her hands, but was in the hands of the man standing there. Gooseb.u.mps erupted all over her body.

"h.e.l.lo, miss."

Isabella opened her mouth, but the words that came out were not what she wanted to say.

"What happened? Why am I talking?" Elizabeth's eyes darted around and her pupil constricted. She thought, "The opponent has taken control over my body. He is using my mouth to talk."

"Miss, let's play a game."

Bam!

A bullet flew past Isabella's scalp. Her heart skipped a beat.

When she had reacted to the situation, her entire body went limp, and she was drenched in cold sweat.

"You have 10 minutes to leave this place. If you choose not to, I can guarantee that I will not miss with my next bullet."

She peeped at the battlefield and realized that the man and the Scottish Fold were both gone.

"Monster!" Isabella was gasping for breath, but her mind was flooded with what had just happened.

"I have to leave here right now; I never knew that Jiangmen city had such a monster."

In her eyes, the man who just controlled her was stronger than anyone she had ever seen. He was dangerous.

If Lin Chen were a normal human being, the masked man would be a G.o.dzilla, while Zhao Yao would be G.o.d.

One minute later, Isabella carried Lucy and was making her escape out of this town.

At the same time, the sound of police sirens just got louder and louder. Soon, the entire town was surrounded by police cars.

"D*mn it," The masked man was the first one to regain consciousness after Zhao Yao left. He surveyed his surroundings and woke his companion up immediately. The 3 of them submerged underground.

In the commanding vehicle, Inspector Ho was listening to the report by his subordinate.

"Are you joking? All of them managed to escape?" Inspector Ho frantically scratched his bald head. He shouted, "There's 8 of you, and you cannot even get a hold of anyone of them? Are you guys stupid? How about our satellite images?"

"There were too many clouds in the night sky which prevented the satellite cameras from capturing anything."

"Inspector, we have located earthquake cat."

"Where is it?"

"Someone saw a golden-haired woman running away with a grey Scottish Fold. There were no cameras in the area. We handed the eyewitnesses a few photographs and the person was identified. She is Isabella."

"Isabella? She is also involved in the s.h.i.+p's explosion," Inspector Ho scratched his chin and continued, "Did Lin Chen report that earthquake cat is a grey Scottish Fold?"

"Yes."

"I didn't expect CIA personnel to come knocking at our door," Inspector Ho took a deep breath before continuing, "This woman was involved in the s.h.i.+p explosion, isn't it? The Americans have flown all the way to our land. What should we do?"

He slammed against the table and shouted, "F*ck them, if we allow them to leave after causing havoc. How can we face others in the future?"

"Deploy everyone to find her. I don't care what you do, but I want her captured. Inform Colonel Li and Secretary Song. No." Inspector Ho took out his phone and said, "I'll make the call myself."

When Inspector Ho was making the call, his a.s.sistant had retreated to a corner of the room and started spreading information regarding Isabella.

Ho Hao Cang pressed his fingers against his temples. In front of him was the masked man. However, he had removed his mask and had changed into a suit, with an air of a butler

"Master, I'm sorry," The butler lowered his head and apologized, "I made a mistake."

Behind him were the middle-aged man and the teenager.

Ho Hao Cang stared at the 3 of them with a stern look. He asked, "Mr. Xia, with your skills and power of regeneration, I'm sure Inspector Ho's subordinates were no match for you. Tell me, what happened?"

The other two subordinates were shaking like a leaf when they saw Ho Hao Cang so solemn and serious. They did not even dare to breathe too loudly.

Only the butler maintained his composure and replied, "I have no idea. I defeated Lin Chen's team and captured the Scottish Fold. Then, I lose consciousness. Maybe, I did not lose my consciousness but my vision turned dark, and I could not feel anything.

When I regained my consciousness, the cat was already gone."

"Your vision turned dark, and you could not feel anything?" Hao Cang's forehead furrowed as he continued, "Maybe there was a third party involved?"

Suddenly, Hao Cang's phone vibrated. He glanced at it, and his eyes squinted into a line. He waved at the two subordinates to signal them to take their leave.

"It is an American woman by the name of Isabella that took earthquake cat."

"Isabella?" The butler raised his head and asked, "Is it the female apostle responsible for the s.h.i.+p's explosion? The Americans got earthquake cat?"

Soon, the teenager returned. He used his power to turn the ground into a tunnel.

"Master, the police are here. We must leave now."

"I guess we should leave then," Ho Hao Cang then walked into the tunnel created by the teenager.

Meanwhile, everyone was interested in what happened. Intelligence agents from all over the world snooped around to gather information.

After escaping from the old town, Isabella had avoided numerous blockades from the police. She was currently das.h.i.+ng across a field. She was furious and mumbled, "D*mn it, why are they focusing all their attention on me?"

Zhao Yao was behind Isabella. He had no problems catching up to her with "Two is better than one". He had cast an illusion on both Isabella and her cat, turning her black cat into a grey Scottish Fold.
