Chapter 5 After The Tsunami

It had been more than a month since the last tsunami. To be honest, everyone was almost frightened to death, because the one with spiritual power did have a difference from an ordinary one.

At the same time, they noticed the woman.

On that day, Ronghua hung in the air, holding the iron fan in hand, and the tsunami showed a little tendency to ease thanks to her arrival. She gazed at the humans in the sea calmly, and they looked up at her as well. They did not know who she was, but they could feel the strong sense of suppression from her, which made them feel hard to breathe. Would she have been that woman if the tsunami had even dreaded her?

Everyone was staring at her while Ronghua was waving her left hand to instruct the domineering tsunami. In the air, a mysterious array was drawn, and the tsunami began to ease. Afterward, she emptied all the water to air with an array of void and threw all the living humans ash.o.r.e.

Another woman on the sh.o.r.e took out a big bow and woven a large net without effort to hold those people. With their cooperation, the civilians were rescued. The cultivators made the spell together, to match up with the action of Ronghua to alleviate this disaster.

Although the disaster was ended, the tsunami had already attracted the attention of the major schools, and they all secretly dispatched their staff to check the real cause of it. However, most of them did this for another reason.

The formal and ostensible excuse was to have a check, but the truth was to find out whether there were any mysterious territories opened after the tsunami. It was said that such a great disaster must have been caused by the appearance of an artifact, which was so powerful that it could result in extreme weather. An artifact had appeared in this town once, so they had solid faith to get it this time.

The crowds on the streets were making friends, hoping for an extra guarantee in this mission. It was always good to have more friends to turn to in such a situation. There were more people in the inn now, making it too crammed to accommodate more. Most of them were sent here for treasure hunting, but some came here to look for opportunities as well, who dreamed of becoming the most powerful but were just blinded by greed.

The message of the tsunami was proved to be true, and the heads of various major schools of cultivation said that this was an omen to the opening of the mysterious territory. Since the tsunami was so powerful, the mysterious territory should not be an easy one. Wasn't it such a potent force that happened last time that caused the advent of an artifact? Nevertheless, they had never seen that artifact.

The new mysterious territory was unfolded, but since then, the demon power in it was radiating for fully half a month. This drove the people who came for it even more excited. The more powerful it was, the more treasures it must have because the owner of the territory must have made the place dangerous enough to prevent outsiders from coming in. After all, wealth was always accompanied by risks.

Seeing the demon power and guessing what treasures were hiding behind, those who were blinded by interests were only thinking about how to get the treasure, without realizing that the potential danger incurred during this adventure and considering if they could come back alive. They just thought about how many precious deposits were in this place and how to get them and then become the superior.

Fortunately, there were still some people cheris.h.i.+ng their lives. They were searching for spiritual weapons and instruments everywhere and just wanted to mingle with the crowds in this adventure to get a few profits.

Inside Linjiang Restaurant, two women were sitting quietly and drinking tea in a private room facing the road.

One of them put down her teacup and looked worriedly at the woman on the other side, "Are you sure you are going to enter this mysterious territory?"

Another one put down the teacup, held her chin in one hand, and looked back with a smile, "Aunt Shu, I do this for my father!"

It would have been fine if she had not mentioned her father. When she used him as an excuse, Aunt Shu was even more annoyed, "Come on, I know you very well." Lingxi was never an obedient girl, even when she was a kid.

Lingxi put down her hand and muttered, "I take it seriously this time. The tsunami is too rare to meet, so maybe I could find something about my mom." After saying the word mom, Shu Ruomi's anger suddenly went away.

As long as she thought of her mother, it would let her down for a long time. It was also the pain that had always rooted in Shu Ruomi's heart. Lingxi had a n.o.ble ident.i.ty and had suffered a lot before she found her father. For her peace and happiness, her father sent her here after they recognized each other. Was it wrong to do so?

"Aunt Shu, if you feel so worried about this, then come with me!" Lingxi came closer, clung to Shu Ruomi's arm, and acted cutely. When she perceived that Shu Ruomi was a little convinced, she knew it worked and made a face for success secretly.

But then Shu Ruomi made a decision, "No, I can't let you go." That territory was not a safe place. If anything terrible happened to Lingxi, how could she explain to her sister for her default?

Lingxi did not want to give up. She puckered her lips, pondered over something, and came up with an idea, "Then let's go back to the Realm of Demons. I haven't seen dad for a long time, and I really miss him."

Shu Ruomi turned to look at Lingxi with spoiled love. Her fingers dabbed the nose of Lingxi and sighed, "You little girl!"

Lingxi hugged her with a satisfied smile, but she made a face again at somewhere Shu Ruomi could not see, like a cunning little fox.

Suddenly, Shu Ruomi heard the tinkle of bells and whipped around. She listened to this chilling voice and seemed to realize something. Then she put down Lingxi's arms, glanced around, and said, "Lingxi, stay here. I will come back soon."

She did not wait for Lingxi to react and stepped out of the room via the void. "Well, Aunt Shu, where are you... going?" The sentence finally vanished, and Lingxi could only watch her leaving.

After Shu Ruomi left, Lingxi was alone sitting on a chair and drawing circles with water boringly. Aunt Shu made a spell at the room so she couldn't get out. A voice she disliked very much appeared at this moment.

"Little Lingxi, are you alone?"

Lingxi did not look up, even with her eyes closed, because she was very disappointed. "What are you doing here?" She said in anger. That man knew her temper and sneered, "Have a look at the kid who is trapped here!"

His upper part of the body was naked, and the beast bones of the lower part transformed into human legs as he jumped down. Clothes were formed at the same time. Lingxi did not see this exciting scene as her eyes closed. He had dark purple eyes, which seemed mysterious, profound, and a little dangerous. He looked very handsome and perfect from every angle. This appearance might be attractive to others, but not to Lingxi. She only wanted to kick his a.s.s.

He had an inborn handsome face, with a smile of evil charm all the time, and she had never seen any other expressions on it.

He smiled and slowly approached Lingxi, "I come to see you." Before he got closer, she flamed a fire above her hand, "State your business or go away."

Seeing the fire, he stepped backward judiciously, "I heard that you want to get into the mysterious territory, but... Shu Ruomi doesn't allow you to do so!"

Lingxi opened her eyes and asked, "What do you mean?"

He saw her reaction and knew this had got her interest successfully, "Let me go with you."

Lingxi raised an eyebrow and looked at him with an evil smile, "Deal!"
