Chapter 109: Red Copper Dragon

The valley was still slightly shaking.

It was like a relatively weak earthquake, and the shaking was not obviously felt. But it was real and it was coming out of the ground at a steady frequency, feeling like heartbeats, full of rhythm. The remaining earth elements in the valley seemed to stay in place primly before they gathered together and then drilled themselves down to the altar. No one knew where they went to what part under the ground.

Around ten kilometers away from the valley, there was a dragon cave standing on the cliff along the Jade Mountain.

As the first line of defense, the locations of dragon caves were very dangerous and difficult to access by normal means because there were cliffs on four sides. Therefore, what was written in the pub story was all false as in the story heroes went all the way to the dragon cave. But in fact, on most occasions, if you wanted to get into the dragon cave, you had to climb the cliff up to a hundred meters with many tools. It was a nightmare for heavy-armor soldiers who had to spend a lot of time climbing the cliff if they did not have Flying acceleration spell from spell casting professionals.

The locations were just the first trouble. There were many traps near the dragon cave, including fatal spell traps.

If you were really unlucky, you might encounter a small maze inside the cave where there were many monster guardians who were servants of the giant dragon providing jobs and food for them. But most of the time only elderly dragons would have monster guardians. Younger dragons did not have such strong confidence to master those servants.

This was the cave of red copper dragon.

There were clearly traces of man-made transformation around the dragon's cave. The giant dragon flattened the stone walls near the mountain, turning it into a straight angle of ninety degrees vertical, making it difficult for those who could not fly to come up. In front of the nest was a large platform. Dragons needed s.p.a.ce to take off and land. It was quite laborious to fly only by flapping wings. When hunting, they glided up the sky with an immediate dive.

A red copper dragon could be seen inside the cave.

It looked almost the same as the legendary giant dragons. The only difference was that it had stronger forelimbs. The pupil color was very light and looked like turquoise. The physical characteristics of dragons were important because they represented their most ferocious physical attack. Dragon's breath was not the most deadly as a lot of spells could withstand it, including s.h.i.+eld block. Experienced and advanced adventurers knew that dragon's wing beating and dragon's claw tearing were more dangerous than dragon's breath.

This was originally a sleeping dragon, but it was awakened now.

It lied on a nearly half-story-high pile of treasures glowing dazzling golden light. The horrific dragon looked at the direction of the valley. Dragons were usually very hungry and more aggressive when they woke up. It rolled up a basin-sized metal ore nearby with its narrow red tongue. It seemed to be eating crispy chocolate. The solid ore was easily crushed by its sharp fangs. Red copper dragon only spent a few seconds nibbling off a piece of ore, and then licked his teeth with its narrow tongue. He slowly said "Which fool awakened the soul of the land? Aren't they afraid of the wrath of the earth? "

After gnawing off a piece of ore, the red copper dragon regained a little energy. It walked out of the cave, stretching its huge dragon wings. In front of the dragon's cave was a ten-meter wide platform. But it still felt it was too small when it walked out. Standing at the top of a hundred-meter high steep cliff, the red copper dragon looked down at the land in front of it which belonged to its territory. With the copper-colored metal scales reflecting the light in the sun, the ferocious creature elegantly looked up and then leaped off the cliff. After diving for several tens of meters, the dragon flapped its wings and rushed into the air of a thousand meters high in the blink of an eye.

An invisible force spread across. Animals that had migrated here during dragon's sleeping time all rushed away to save their lives.

However, the dragon didn't even look at these poor worms. Instead, it flew to the plain a hundred kilometers away where there were strong rift cattle, a variant of rhinos, weighing about three tons. That was a splendid meal.

In a dark red cave in the gloomy underground world, a meatball-like horrible creature opened its eyes.

The walls were dark red and it seemed to be with some kind of minerals. A lot of awakened creatures opened their eyes. They first opened the huge single eyes at the center of the head, and then opened the eyes of the touches around the head. Its eye stalk section was like an earthworm and the body diameter was about five meters. There was no part of its body on the ground and the whole sarcomlike head was strangely suspended in the air. Their eyeb.a.l.l.s were full of dozens of tentacles, making people scared of the horrible density.

"The soul of the land was awakened."

Inside its mouth was full of sharp fangs. After coldly glancing around, it immediately flew out of the cave with its body suspending. It had slept for more than a decade. The just-waking eye demon consumed too much energy during advanced mutation. It was so hungry that its original servants became its meal. But it didn't matter as long as it was willing to attract more servants in the underground world as quickly as possible.

An invisible cognition network spread across.

No one knew whether it was advanced eye demon senior or giant eye tyrant that flew out of the cave. But it was sure that it must be a legendary level eye demon. Soon a group of gray dwarfs fell into its cognition network. It flew to them silently without any sounds. With a bunch of light from an eyeball touch, a gray dwarf's head was shot through. The remaining dwarfs were shouting loudly. Those who attempted to escape were all killed instantly. Others were trembling on the ground.

The giant eye demon opened its mouth and ate half of a gray dwarf's dead body. As the b.l.o.o.d.y mouth chewing, drops of blood and flesh scattered. It coldly looked at the survivors with the single eye. With a spell light emerging, those who survived all looked dead. They respectfully kneeled in front of it and called "Master!"

The dull eyes gradually recovered and the charm spell laid the soul imprint, which began to come into effect.

The gray dwarf's eyes turned clear, but they lifted up companions' bodies and began to serve their new master to eat with great respect.

Soran and other adventurers returned along the previous path.

Halfling was still excitedly counting gemstones while Gloria pulled her hair behind the back and looked strange. She felt something before leaving. It was the energy wave from the underground. With Vivian on his back, Soran walked behind. Suddenly, he felt something unusual. He soon took out his machete and looked up to the sky. Halfling also felt the same wave. Aladdin dropped all the gemstones and immediately brought his cutlas.

Goliath stiffened and subconsciously casted an energy s.h.i.+eld. She then looked into the distance, with her nice eyebrow frowning.

A huge and ferocious figure pa.s.sed by in the air.

Soran's face changed slightly and said in a low voice "That is red copper dragon!" That was an adult red copper dragon who didn't notice them casting Invisible. It just woke up and it was very hungry now. What it wanted to do was to catch adult male rift cattles and had a nice meal. The whole team was frightened by the flying giant dragon. All creatures were affected as the dragon touched. Only the little girl on Soran's back was normal. She raised her small head and looked at the dragon in the sky, murmuring "It looked cool!"

No one knew what Vivian was thinking about, but there seemed an expecting expression on her lovely face.

But no one noticed at this time.

Until the giant dragon flew away, they sighed with a relief. Soran moved faster and Halfling took the gemstones and quickly followed up.

This was an adult giant dragon of legendary level. They didn't want to meet such creature now.

The druid tracking them suddenly stopped. He pulled out a feather from his messy hair and then quickly casted the incantation. He then turned into an eagle in a flash and flapped its wings to hundreds of meters high. After looking at the direction of the dragon's departure, he turned to the other side and flew away. An adult red copper dragon sleeping near the Jade Mountain had been awakened, which must be told to Earth walker. Although metal dragons were relatively kind-hearted, they were also very dangerous.

All dragons were moody.

When seeing a living dragon, no one wanted to stay. They finally returned to the elf village after a night's journey. The village was still peaceful. No one would randomly attack elves because forest patrol would take revenge.

Deterring enemies not only required power but also cruelty.

Elves in the revenge were not graceful. They treated alien enemies cruelly. Otherwise the nearby ogres, half-blooded orcishes and wildness beasts would not migrate elsewhere. Those elf patrol guards were b.l.o.o.d.y and the creatures they hunted would never be less than Soran did. There was a cold-blooded group of ruthless fighters in every race who were not like ordinary civilians and their mission was to fight and kill!

When Soran and other adventurers returned to the hotel, Halfling couldn't help to deliver trophies.

Soran took 40% while Aladdin took 30%. Gloria only took three central elements apart from two crystals at the very beginning. Vivian also got over ten gemstones. She happily showed the gemstones to Soran. Although her hand was too small to hold them all, she was very lovely as if she was presenting a treasure. Soran just touched her little head and told her to take them well. Then she smilingly put all the gemstones into the multi-dimensional bag with delicate embroidered silver edges, which was already full.

Until after delivering all the treasures, Soran had the chance to take a look at the legendary stone.
