Perplexity is not even enough to describe how greatly confused Arthur Vermillion was when he heard what the light said.

Gathering all of the martial artists and not defeating an enemy is crazy enough, but multiplying them by a billion and still not defeating it is almost ridiculous and farcical. This mysterious light also said 'this world' which puzzled Arthur Vermillion, 'What does he mean by that?'

"Listen kid, I have an hour or so before this enemy find and comes for me so hear me out.

I had no choice but to recuperate inside your body... It was going well. But I made a mistake."

The light stopped for a while before adding,

"Forget it, you won't understand me even if I explain it to you a hundred times so just remember 'Great Empyrean Abyss', that's that motherf*cker's name! Don't forget it!"

Arthur Vermillion felt his hair on his body stand when this mysterious light mentioned its blood enemy's name. So he unconsciously lowered down his head so that he could withstand the aura that this mysterious light is releasing.

"I will give you back what you've lost this past ten years. Hehe, it's actually even better... But you have to me promise that you avenge us! Kill that long-headed son of a b*tch!"

When Arthur Vermillion heard this, his eyes lit up but he is still half-doubting this mysterious light. Why did this mysterious light chose him? And more importantly, what even is this mysterious light?

"Haha, your expression gives away all your doubts. I ripped through s.p.a.ce randomly and found myself inside your room. I needed pure innate energy so I had no choice but to choose you."

Arthur Vermillion lightly nodded after hearing this. Although he couldn't understand most of the part this mysterious light just said, he still grasped what it was pointing out. But the main question is still not answered by him so he asked... "What are you?"

The mysterious light's laughter can be heard throughout Arthur Vermillion's room. It's hoa.r.s.e voice grated the ears of Arthur Vermillion.

"I'm an Item Spirit of some item, you'll figure it out once you have the strength and ascend from this world."

'Item Spirit?! Those things from the legends actually exist...' Arthur Vermillion inwardly exclaimed. But he was much more curious upon hearing 'this world' again so he immediately asked the mysterious light...

"You kept mentioning 'this world'. Are there any other worlds besides ours?", asked Arthur Vermillion. This was one of the questions that was running rampant in his head.

Hearing this, the mysterious light laughed again, but this time it is more grating to the ears. It seems like he forgot that he has an enemy that is tracking him that could kill billions of masters, sneered Arthur Vermillion.

"There are countless of worlds out there. Speaking of which, head to the Divine World once your strength has risen. You'll get there eventually, no worries at all."

"It's about time... Kid, this will hurt a bit, bare with it for a few seconds. And remember what I've told you."

Without giving Arthur Vermillion a chance to respond. The mysterious light went inside Arthur Vermillion's body.

The pain it gave was similar to someone being poked by hundreds of thousands of needles that was soaked in alcohol. It was very painful even for a martial artist, especially to those who haven't broken through the first realm and still building up their foundation.

After that intense torturous experience, a black smoke slowly emerged from the body of Arthur Vermillion.

This black smoke was a spell to weaken the mysterious light. This was also the one that the mysterious light was painstakingly trying to remove, but ended up failing in the end.

Arthur Vermillion, who was laying weakly on his bed, was not aware of this black smoke emerging from his body.

A man with a long face wearing an exquisite red robe was currently sitting cross-legged with his eyes closed.

He was profusely sweating and lightly gasping for air.

This man was the mysterious light's blood enemy. Great Empyrean Abyss.

"He's gone... The Holy Ring's Item Spirit is gone...", a voice was heard as soon as Great Empyrean Abyss opened his eyes.

This voice belongs to the spear beside Great Empyrean Abyss. This was surprisingly an Item Spirit!

"Hehe..." Great Empyrean Abyss lightly smiled.

If he was in his prime condition. He would have located the mysterious light, or rather, the Holy Ring's Item Spirit. But he was severely injured despite attacking Great Empyrean Thousand Lives with a very timed sneak attack. So he could not find his exact location and can only roughly trace it.

But unexpectedly, the Holy Ring's Item Spirit decided to kill itself, hence, saving him alot of trouble!

He was very confident in his abilities. Therefore, he could confirm that the Holy Ring's Item Spirit wasn't faking it.

It was already afternoon when Arthur Vermillion woke up. When he looked at his body, he heaved a sigh of relief. He actually thought that he was literally being needled to death last night.

He was planning to go to the market to buy a few medicinal herbs, he consumed a considerable amount of mental energy to withstand that pain.

His father, Jiu Vermillion, was really worried about him when he saw him. Arthur Vermillion was deathly pale and looked like he just experienced thousands of Samsaras.

"He must have been training all night long...", Jiu Vermillion heaved a deep sigh.

At this time, Rose Jade was on the way to the Vermillion Family's Residence.

She was worried about Arthur Vermillion not attending the cla.s.s earlier so she decided to pay him a little visit and encourage him or something...

Subsequently, he started to check his body. Then, his face suddenly distorted in a weird way and after using his brain for a minute to think. Afterwards, he cried out even louder than Rose Jade.

"Holy f*ck! I broke through!"
