27 Richie Rich

"How did ya find my house!?" Chris cried as Abbey stepped in the apartment. "Quit yelling, ya dummy." Abbey sighed, placing a hand on her hip. "I was curious as to how you got so many gifts so I...did some digging." She turned away to hide a smirk. "Don't you have anything better to do!?" He then turned his attention to Rick, who was sneering. "What!?" He growled. "Nothing, nothing!" Rick paused. "We just think it's cute that you're a Richie boy, is all." Abbey snickered. "Oh, relax will ya?" Chris grumbled. "It's my dads business, I'm just the heir." Chris turned. "'Sides why is this so funny to both of you?" Rick and Abbey looked at each other. "Well," Rick began. "I don't care about money, or whatever," He began. "I don't know, I just wanna live normally." Rick and Abbey bursted our laughing. "Relax, we're not persecuting you for being rich, like I said, we-" Before Rick could finish, Chris shot him a look. "I know I'm well off, you don't gotta say it twice," He began. "My point is, people use me for my money, I haven't," He looked away, blus.h.i.+ng. "Made any real friends since...you guys." He sighed. "That's why I didn't wanna tell you." Rick grumbled, scratching his head. Abbey looked down. "Sorry." The two said in unison. "I mean, if you want-" He stopped. Rick looked up. "What?" Chris looked steadily down. "What were ya gonna say?" Rick frowned. "If you wanna come over..." Chris blushed. Rick and Abbey exchanged looks. Abbey sighed. "Not after the way we just treated ya." She scratched her neck. "We were being childish, and unfair." She stayed looked up at Chris. "Sorry." Chris smiled sadly. "Nah don't worry, I understand it's funny." Rick turned to Abbey. "I have to go, but I'll see you." She turned to leave. "Listen up, idiot," she looked at Chris. "I'm gonna say it once, don't you ever forget, we really care about you." She looked down, blus.h.i.+ng. "B-Bye." She quickly shut the door. Chris gave a smile. "No s.h.i.+t." Rick let out a yawn, and stretched. "We'll try better next time." He smiled, patting Chris on the shoulder.

"Master," a voice called out. "Master," the voice repeated. Chris stirred. "You have guests, master Chris." Chris yawned, rising up in his bed. "What is it pops?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. "You have guests, master." The man repeated. Chris shot up. "What!?" He cried. "Hobbes why didn't ya wake me sooner!?" Hobbes looked at him. "Master, they just c-" Chris started flinging around his clothes frantically. "I gotta get dressed!" He cried.

Chris kept pressing the elevator b.u.t.ton frantically. "This must be an important client if they're here so early." He grumbled. As the elevator came, he quickly stepped inside. He began fixing his scarf. As he stepped out of the elevator, one of his maids turned. "Yo, your guests are in the guest room." Chris nodded. "Shouldn't you be working extra hard then?" He grinned, irritated. The girl looked up from her phone. "Nah." She replied, turning her attention back to her phone. "Ema..." Chris growled. "Relax!" She said, getting up. "They don't seem all too bad." She began. "'Sides, don't stress, I don't wanna see you bald." She shuddered. "Ew, I needa get that image outta my head." Ema said, walking away. "That girl..." Chris grumbled. He checked the mirror quickly. He began fixing his hair. "What am I doing, I don't have time for this!" He cried, slamming open the doors to the guest room. "I'm so sorry, I-" when he opened his eyes, he was greeted by Rick, Maru, Sena, Abbey, and Tammy. "Eh!?" He cried out.

"They felt bad for their poor behavior yesterday." Sena said. "Sen" Abbey quickly blushed. "Mm, plus we wanted to make up for it by bringing you a gift!" Tammy smiled, holding up a bottle of wine. "Ya don't needa do any of that, don't be sorry either." Chris sighed, scratching his head. "Ya coulda just warned me ya know." He looked up, then noticed Ema, and Hobbes peeking their heads in. "Oi!" He cried. "D-Don't just stand there, you two have jobs!" He cried. They then walked in the room. "Relax dummy, my job as you said was to get you some coffee." She said, placing a tray of coffee, and refreshments onto the table. "Since when do ya expect us to do our jobs, you're never this bossy!" She grumbled. "I had to learn how to make coffee, ya big jerk!" She placed her hands on her hips. "Thanks Ema, Hobbes, you two can leave now." He said, while gritting his teeth. "But," Ema began. "I said you can go now." He continued. "Relax, we're not botherin' anyone, right?" She smiled, looking at his friends. "She's fine." Rick replied. Ema smiled, bowing her dress.

"So, what did you guys wanna...do?" Chris chuckled nervously. Maru looked up at Rick. "I'm hungry." Rick turned to Chris. "If it's not a bother-" Chris got up. "It's not, I'll go get her somethin'!" He quickly left the room. "How's this, shrimp?" He walked back in, holding up a package of chocolate covered biscuits. Maru's eyes twinkled. "Really!?" They all laughed as Chris handed the packet to Maru.

After a couple of hours, the group said their goodbyes, and left. Chris hummed as he walked back to the elevator. As the elevator came down the shaft, he beamed. I finally have true friends. He thought to himself, smiling as he stepped into the elevator.
