It was as precise as Elisha had described: the spirit world was in ruins. The lush, green forest that had been handed down through legend was nowhere to be seen, and the desolate landscape stretched out, endless in its emptiness. The only landmarks consisted of monstrous cadavers scattered upon the ground in various stages of decomposition, and in the distance, an active volcano reached toward the greying sky.

The volcano erupted, spewing rolling, red magma. The fire spirit king, Phoenix, ruled the land. In response to his whims, the land was filled with flame.

Outside of the dungeon, the spirit worlds power remained strong, so much so that Kang Min-hyuk held optimistic imaginings of the realm, despite Elishas bleak account. However, the reality was even worse than shed described. The monster invasion wasnt a disaster reserved for humans. The spirit world, which had been a heavenly land of abundance, had been ravaged and ruined by monsters.
