580 Servant of God

Dont get too carried away. If talking would have worked, Id have preferred that way, but There are plenty of ways I can do this. Dont think Im limited to just one option. If you dont want to listen, then thats fine. Ill do it like normal.

Gods Voice softly floats up into the air. As I follow with my eyes, Gods Voices arm suddenly swings down, the fingertips shining with light.

I dont know what just happened. All I know is that an attack of some form is coming. I dont have time to dodge.

Suddenly, I feel a jolt as though my brain has been shaken. Nausea wells up from deep in my body. My thoughts turn pure white.

Gah, uguuh.

The next thing I know, Im sprawled on the ground. My head has flopped down, and a puddle of saliva has formed below my mouth.

a mental attack? It came too quickly for me to react. I also have no idea what the scope of it was.

That reminds me Miia wrote about something similar.

It is best to think of Gods Voice as being able to use every skill. Of course, the stats were also far higher than anything I had seen. Saying that, treant-san steps in front of me and undoes [Tree Spiritisation], returning to his original tyrant guardian form. An overwhelmingly large tree appears in the space between me and Gods Voice.

Looking at him, the edges of Gods Voices mouth lift up into an emotionless laugh.

Stop, treant! Youll seriously be killed!

I guess this is fine. Ill make you regret spurning my offer. I had been planning on using [Spirit Servant] to fulfil my promise to Lilixira anyway.

[Spirit Servant]!? Gods Voice can even use [Spirit Servant]?

Lilixira thought she could compete with me, but that was just an illusion. Letting her think that way was useful, after all. It seems she seriously thought she could outwit me. Isnt that so pitiful? I was the one who made her think that way, after all.

Lilixira seriously tried her best, and it might not mean anything now, but I have to fulfil my promise. I put a lot of importance on that sort of thing. I cant let her determination look worthless, after all. I promised her that if she lost the contest over divine skills, Id destroy all of Liarm with my [Spirit Servant].

From Gods Voices centre, a magic circle expands. The surroundings fill with blinding light, cutting off my vision.

Covering my face with my forefoot, I slowly open my eyes. Wh-what was summoned?

A roar explodes over the foggy land. It takes a few seconds for me to realise the sound is coming from a living being.

Behind Gods Voice is a figure about twice as large as me. It looks to be a gigantic spider, covered in dense fur and with eight legs.

On its front are three giant heads. The left head is a toads, and the right head is a cats. The centre head is a male, long-eared human head with a crown. Each set of eyes are open wide, their bright red pupils unfocused. The male in the centre is screaming, while the toad and cat are laughing creepily.

Surprised? This is the strongest Demon Lord in all history. [Tri-Headed Gluttony King Baal]. Looks kind of funny, doesnt he?

Two figures are lined up by Baals legs. One is a woman hidden in a thick robe, while the other is an armoured giant carrying a greatsword in one hand. H-humans!? No way, are they [Spirit Servants] too!?

From behind Baal, I hear a loud noise. Its hidden by the fog, but theres something over ten times my size back there. Its insanely large. Its trampling over trees as its walking around. I-is that also a [Spirit Servant]?

What do you think? Every one of them are Legendary. Quite impressive, right?

H-how Wasnt [Spirit Servant] limited to two at a time?!

In the first place, they shouldnt be able to maintain their existence without divine skills. Even in [Spirit Servant] form, Beelzebub had [Animal Realm]. Keeping a stock of four Legendary [Spirit Servants] without any divine skills is a massive rule break, no matter how you put it. How is Gods Voice doing this? I cant help but think Miia must have been completely insane if she thought this could be beaten.

Why did you think Id ever fight on the same level as you? In the first place, this is just entertainment.

I look at each of the [Spirit Servants] in turn. Even though I knew I could never win, Id hoped I could inflict some pain on Gods Voice. But this is too much.
