"Young Mistress... Are you alright?" there was no response from her. He tried again.

"Young Mistress... Young Mistress..." he called her a bit louder.

"Huh?" she was back from her deep trance and she seems oblivious to the tears on her cheeks.

"Are you in pain Young Mistress?"

She was confused with his question. Is she in pain? She doesn't really know but her heart feels tight and pains a lot. At the same time, she felt bliss with the reason behind Touma's rejection. She understands Touma's fear. Kahina knows for him to open up to this level was a blessing from heaven but her greed for more.

"I don't know. Why?"

Han didn't say a word but he pointed his finger to her face. She touched her cheeks and to her surprise, it was drenched with tears. She bewildered to the fact she was crying.

"Am I crying?" Han had no idea how to answer her question but he decided to nod instead.

"Ahh... I guess I am crying then." She threw her gaze outside the window, staring at the moon. It was a beautiful waning crescent moon. The moon, it s.h.i.+nes when darkness comes. Guide everyone by its light. She closed her eyes, inhaled a deep breath and composed herself.

She was so scared earlier when she realized Touma wanted to dump her before they even start. She was panicking and incapable to think rationally as a result, she decided to stop him from says another word by a kiss. She was embarra.s.sed but the fear being rejected by him was stronger. At least if he was adamant to refuse her, she still has the memories of her first kiss with her first love. She promised Ken she will live her life with no regret and she tends to keep that promised. She knows the path she chose is not easy. All she needs to do is harden her heart and never give up!

"Are you hurt?" It was a month ago, he was a.s.signed to serve her by Kaede and in this one month, Han never saw a drop of tear from her. She smiles and laughs the moment she opens her eyes and stops when it closes again. Although she was upset she still kept on smiling even though the smile was scary.

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. I don't know." If she knows loving someone makes her feel the turbulence of emotion, she will never sign up for it. It hurts being rejected. It hurts being insecure. It hurts to hope.

"Why can't she understand? It is not that simple." Touma cupped his face and ma.s.sage the glabella to ease the headache from creeping in.

If Kahina knows how important she is to him, she will never deny him. He doesn't want the history to repeat again. It was enough for his mother to face the unavoidable fate and he doesn't want to give in and walked the same path as his father too.

The sadness and regret he saw on n.o.bu Anzo's face were unbearable for him. His father had to watch his wife died in his arms and it was tormenting him deeply. He never smiles brightly as before and he soothed his grieve with liquor and work.

"Young Master, I don't think she doesn't understand."

Touma lifted his head to Ando with a face full of question. Ando gave him a warm smile. He has been with Touma for over two decades and he understands Touma's deep scar in his heart. The scar was so painful until now scare him to love again. He was a young loving boy before and the boy still exists. It is only this time the way he loves someone was to push them away.

"She is determined to fight for the sake of her love."

"But Ando... the fight will hurt her. It might cost her life. How am I going to live with it?"

"Then tell me, young master. Are you able to live while hurting her yourself?"

Ando's question was like a splash of cold water to him. Hurting Kahina was never his intention but if the path of protecting her cost their heart, then he is willing to sacrifice it. The heart can heal. She might find new love in the future. The one able to grant her the fairy tale she deserves.

'No! I must protect her!' All of sudden he walked to the car and let the question unanswered. The flame of determination in his eyes was so obvious and it troubles Ando. He recognizes the look, it was the look when he makes up his mind on something and when this is happen even the power of Grim Reaper comes knocking the door he will not budge.

Ando followed behind him closely and waited for his order. This order will not be a walk in the park, at least he sure about it.

Touma in deep thought while he sat at the back and murmuring something Ando couldn't comprehend but he had no intention to interrupt Touma at all. Then he opened the box in the middle of the seat and pulled a piece of candy. He stares at it and gently unwrapped and threw it in his mouth. It was the candy from Kahina. It is as sweet as her kiss. 'She kissed me…' he unconsciously touched his lips.

He turned to Ando and said, "Let's meet Oyabun."

'No!!!!!!!!!' Ando screams inside to three words Touma spouted to him with invisible tears streaming down.
