With the Vermillion Bird’s guarantee, Shen Yanxiao didn’t have anything to worry about. And if the time came when they need to face the Phoenix, at the worst case scenario, they would just grab the Inflammation Gra.s.s and immediately run away.  Having the Vermillion Bird to protect her, would she still be afraid?

Estimating the chips in her hands, Shen Yanxiao thought that this trip could be considered very safe.

Early in the morning, a large number of mercenaries had gathered on Black City’s plaza. The mercenaries came from different mercenary corps and their numbers were now in thousands. For Black City’s mercenary corps to create such a big move, it wouldn’t be difficult to arouse the attention of the citizens of the Black City.

Soon, everyone noticed that the mercenaries who had gathered in the plaza were all from mid-sized corps of Black City, none of them were members of a small mercenary corps. Almost all the members of these mid-sized mercenary corps had crowded over the plaza.

Everyone was curious why were there a lot of mercenaries gathering together?

Some well-informed people, who manage to get some information from the mouth of the scattered mercenaries, said that these mercenary corps were hired by an employer in order to kill a high level magical beast.

People who heard this news couldn’t help but be secretly speechless. How much money had been spent to hire a lot of mercenaries? This meant that this employer was too wealthy!

The average employer would only hire up to one or two mid-sized mercenary corps. After all, a mid-sized mercenary corps wasn’t that cheap, ah.

And they heard that only the mid-size mercenary corps were accepted to take part in this task and those small-sized mercenary corps were simply disdained and rejected  by the employer.

The people in the whole city were talking about this big movements from the mercenary corps. And in the midst of this all, a pet.i.te figure silently walked through the crowd and went were the other mercenary corps had gathered.
