Chapter 8

According to the address sent by Nana, Xia Duo taxied all the way to find the largest KTV in the city. (Because she was afraid of being discovered by the Xia family's three brothers, she only told her driver to drive to Nana's house.)

Xia Duo had never been to such a place, so she called Nana after getting off the taxi.

She didn't stand for a long time in the night breeze before Nana came out of the karaoke bar and pulled her in.

Inside their reserved box, drinks and beer snacks piled up. On the sofa, a few girls were paddling and playing games, while the boys were playing game consoles or on their mobile phones. A couple in the cla.s.s were opening their throats and singing love songs, and there were a few pairs beside them, eager to sing perform themselves.

Nana pushed open the door of the box and yelled at the people inside, “Cla.s.smates, Xia Duo is here, our star is finally here!”

Immediately, each line of sight interspersed like a film. Xia Yiduo immediately felt as if her back was pressed against the wall. In this extremely rigid atmosphere, she had to say h.e.l.lo, “Hi, cla.s.smates!”

Because of the relations.h.i.+p between her three elder brothers, her popularity among her cla.s.smates wasn't good. To be precise, she had no other friends except Nana and Xiaoqi. Like this graduation party; it was really the first time. Usually, she didn't even partic.i.p.ate in cla.s.s activities, let alone community activities.

Seeing that the situation was not right, Nana could only push Xia Duo in, and waved boldly: “Cla.s.smates, play tonight, I will pay for it all!”

“Oh yeah!”

“Great!”

“Awesome!”

When they heard that someone was paying the bill, the students were all excited and cheered together.

This was a group of children that had not yet entered society. Their thoughts and behaviors were very simple. Xia Yiduo gazed at the faint lights, the excited faces or youthful faces, and could not prevent the corners of her lips to twitch a little.

“Don't care about them!” A figure sat down next to her, then was followed by a female voice consoling.

Xia Duo turned back, and saw Nana with a worried look on her face, and couldn't help but tick off her lips. “Nana, don't worry, I'm fine!”

She really was happy to experience this for the first time. She was playing with a group of friends Her heart seemed to flutter in the high white clouds, fluttering lightly.

Then she returned to her normal behavior, and a couple of alternates came up, and then she sang a love song with a deep throat …

It was only half a minute later that a boy, who might have been drinking too much, suddenly stood on the coffee table, and then shouted, “Cla.s.smates, taking this opportunity tonight, let us toast together! Pay tribute to our youth, pay tribute to our future, pay tribute to the days we spent together!” His complexion was flushed, and even his eyes were stained red.

His words sounded abstract and bit too fueled by alcohol , but the cla.s.smates below were still moved by them. Maybe they thought again about how they would be entering society from now on.. The chances to meet may be less and less overtime, and they may not meet again. Everyone had similar feelings.

“Okay, come on, let's toast! Toast for our youth!” Another boy stood up, raised the beer bottle in his hand, and roared blus.h.i.+ng.

“Cheers!”

“Cheers!”

“Cheers!”

After a loud and loud voice, everyone raised the beer bottles, even some girls who could not drink much, bravely raised their own, and Xia Duo was no exception.

“b.u.mping-” Everyone's beer bottles collided, making a crisp sound, and also hitting their friends.h.i.+p.

Soon after Xia Duo had sat down, a weak voice sounded beside her, “Xia Duo, you drink?”

When she heard the sound, she saw a girl sitting next to her, who was a good student in their cla.s.s and a school-level cadre. “Yeah, don't you too?” She had just taken a sip but was seen nonetheless.

“Well,” the girl rolled her tongue embarra.s.sed, and then suddenly said: “It turns out that you get along so well, I always thought …”

“Do you think I was hard to reach?” Xia Duo smiled  slyly at her.

“Not now.” She  heard rumors in the school all the time, and she didn't like to hang out  with cla.s.smates, so it was normal for her to be biased.

As the party was coming to an end,  it was already early in the morning.
