After pondering, Shao Tianze explained himself, “Guo Yuyue has had poor health ever since she lost her son. I assume you know she stayed in hospital before.”

Shao Tianze glanced at Su Mier, continuing, “Director Guo gave in her resignation some time ago. I urged her to stay but failed. So I accepted her resignation.”

“But why didn’t you tell us?”
