"Where's Lan Jinyao? Please tell her to come here because I have something to tell her."

At her instruction, Song Zexi slightly bowed her head and immediately disappeared to look for Lan Jinyao. 

Li Xiuying didn't need to wait long for Song Zexi to come back with Lan Jinyao on her trail. There was a hint of confusion on her face, wondering if her benefactor wasn't afraid that the filming crew would suspect their familiarity with each other. 

"Sister Ying, this is really a surprise. Why didn't you tell me you'll arrive today?" Lan Jinyao asked her benefactor once the crew were busy reviewing the scenes they've taken for today. She heard Li Xiuying humming and watched with curious eyes how the rest of the crew reacted in her presence. 

Lan Jinyao tried her best to pretend she wasn't curious but Li Xiuying was obviously aware of what was going on in her mind. 

"Sit down, Miss Lan. There's no need to be wary of my intention in visiting you and my aunt. It's normal for me to look after the two of you," Li Xiuying gestured her hand, telling the actress to take a seat across her which Lan Jinyao did without hesitation. 

"Then you came here just to see that b.i.t.c.h in person?" Lan Jinyao asked back. It was impossible not to see the laughter that reflected on Li Xiuying's eyes over Lin Meirong's misfortune. 

In the end, this young actress realized that Li Xiuying wasn't really a saint that everyone a.s.sumed her to be. Li Xiuying was like everyone else who has a dark side that she rarely shows to anyone. 

Li Xiuying hummed and gave her a nod. The sound of ringing from Song Zexi's phone distracted her. 

Song Zexi excused herself and answered the phone as she left her Miss with Lan Jinyao and Su Ling. 

"I was merely curious. Nothing else," Li Xiuying said in her defense when she saw Lan Jinyao's grin. 

But for her to boldly show up face to face with Lin Meirong? Wasn't she afraid that woman would suspect that she knew about the affair between Lin Meirong and Mu Jianyu?

"Is that so?" Did she really have to question Li Xiuying's intention? 

"Hmm… I'm also looking forward to seeing more of your performance. I cleared the rest of my schedule for today. I intend to enjoy my short visit," 

Lan Jinyao's eyes glistened as she understood this. Though she knew now that Li Xiuying truly felt disdain for the woman who trampled her marriage, she wanted some confirmation from her end. 

"Besides, I'm also curious about Miss Lin's acting skill. If she's really that good, I'm afraid she'll be able to steal the limelight and nomination from you."

Staring at Li Xiuying, Lan Jinyao then understood the hidden meaning in her smile. Li Xiuying wanted to see how Lin Meirong would react to her indirect provocation using Lan Jinyao. Will she run to her lover and complain about how his wife tries to bully her at work? 

But in order to know the answer, Lan Jinyao had to play accomplice for Li Xiuying. She wanted to pounce at Lin Meirong now to get some entertainment on this boring day. 

"Go now. You wouldn't want the director to suspect that I favor you," 

"Thank you, Sister Ying! I'll get back now!" 

Lan Jinyao went away at once after hearing a staff member calling her name from afar. 

"Miss Ying…" Song Zexi trailed off, afraid that she would offend her Miss. 

"What is it?" Both of her bodyguards had been with her since she was sixteen and knew them well. 

"Miss Chuntao called earlier…" 

"Chuntao? Why didn't you say so?" Li Xiuying frowned as she missed her twin sister's call again. 

Song Zexi scratched her cheek awkwardly. 'Dear Lord, help us, Miss Chuntao had found out about Miss Ying's predicament,' she prayed in her heart. She wondered if it was Shen Zichen who informed their Miss Chuntao. 

"You were busy talking with Miss Lan so…" Upon seeing the slight pout on her Miss's face, Song Zexi couldn't help but smile. "She said she'll call again tonight and I must clear your schedule by that time." 

Li Xiuying nodded. There was this ominous feeling that something was about to happen but she wasn't sure what it was. Maybe her twin sister had caught the news of her impending divorce with Mu Jianyu and hoped that it wouldn't make Chuntao worry too much. 

"Did she say what it is about?" She asked Song Zexi. If Chuntao somehow found out what she'd been keeping for weeks, Ying wasn't sure how she'd answer her twin sister. 

Song Zexi chewed her lip and shook her head. Her Miss Chuntao had told her not to mention her awareness over the divorce issue as she wanted to hear it from Ying herself. 

"She didn't say anything, Miss Ying but… I feel like you should prepare just in case she questioned you this time." Song Zexi said truthfully. It would be best for Miss Chuntao if she could convince their Miss Ying to sign the divorce papers.
