She was glad that she took off her own clothes so it wasn't crumpled when she had s.e.x with Shen Zichen, or else if people saw her later, they might suspect something between them. In the meantime, she borrowed an oversized s.h.i.+rt from him as she waited for her hair to dry. 

He'd refused to let her go after their first time and had only allowed her to leave his bed and wash after their third round. 

Shen Zichen even had the audacity to grin smugly at her when he saw how she struggled to walk on her wobbly legs towards the bathroom as he laid on his bed. Her cheeks flushed when she remembered how it felt having him inside of her. Words weren't enough to describe how happy and content she was when he finally took her as his lover. 

Maybe one day, when the day comes that she could believe that he needed her because he wanted her and not the other way around, she could free herself from the shackles she had set on her own heart. 

"You started eating without me even though I was the one who paid for it?" Shen Zichen's voice brought her back from her thoughts as he came out from his shower, dressed in his home clothes with a towel in his hand. He was still drying his hair when he strode towards her and sat beside her. "Feed me." He demanded. 

Li Chuntao took one dumpling from her plate and shoved it to his mouth. He jerked back and covered his mouth as he realized how hot it was. 

"Chuntao, are you planning to burn my tongue? You could have at least blown it first before feeding it to me." He complained and dropped his towel on his lap. 

"Hmm... that's because you are eating my share! You took so long to finish your shower, so why would I wait for you?" 

"I told you we could've shared the shower to save time but you didn't want to. Not only could we have saved time, but also water usage." He shrugged and took his own food at the table and started eating on his own. 

Li Chuntao scoffed and shook her head. She'd already guess that he wouldn't leave her in peace if they showered together. And the h.e.l.l with water conservation. He was just spouting nonsense to get on her nerves. 

They ate in silence with only Chun Chun's occasional meowing could be heard as she tried to get Shen Zichen's attention by rubbing her body on his leg. Li Chuntao sharpened her gaze to his cat. Chun Chun surely didn't know when to leave Shen Zichen alone with her. 

"I heard Mu Jianyu was scouted to become the new CEO of Redux Entertainment. The Xi family must be out of their mind to get someone like him." Shen Zichen broke the silence once he finished his meal. He leaned back and opened the can of juice to drink. 

"They have no other choice anyway. Within their family, there was no one as capable as Xi Yunchuan. When his career and life ended in jail years ago, the fate of the Xi family was also affected by it." Li Chuntao replied as she placed her empty plate on the table and sipped from a gla.s.s of water. 

It was big news back then. The young master of the Xi family had kidnapped and raped the youngest heiress of the Sun family and he ended up in jail because of Shen Zichen's mother. 

They were too young when it happened and the Li twins only became aware of that history when they were both studying as an apprentice in basic management under their grandmother's tutelage.

"But to choose him of all people?" Shen Zichen wasn't confident of Mu Jianyu's management skills, considering that the Li Corporation's growth was almost stunted when he took over the management after he married Li Xiuying. 

"Skill-wise, Mu Jianyu is a decent businessman." Li Chuntao cupped her chin, "He just doesn't know how to take advantage of his compet.i.tors." 

Shen Zichen looked at her at the corner of his eyes and frowned. 

"Why are you defending him? Shouldn't you be agreeing with me?" 

She stared at him for a moment before letting out a low chuckle. 

"Oh, please don't tell me you're getting jealous because of it," 

"I'm not jealous but you can't blame me for loathing him. My own wifey is living with him. How can I accept it?" He countered. If he could turn back time, he would've punched his face harder that night and beat him beyond recognition, had he known Mu Jianyu would take his lover unknowingly from him. 

Li Chuntao pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. 'Here we go again.' She thought 

"Young Master Shen, I hate to break this to you but may I remind you that we've already agreed to this? Now, you even moved here without asking my opinion first. Do you know how hard it would be for me from now on?" 

"Can't you see I'm trying to help you?" He groaned. He didn't like arguing with her over Mu Jianyu, but he couldn't help being p.i.s.sed off whenever he saw them together. That night, when he saw her standing next to Mu Jianyu, his hand was itching to pull her to his side and tell Mu Jianyu to f.u.c.k off. 

Now that Shen Zichen was practically living just next door, she wouldn't be surprised if Mu Jianyu started to get some ideas about them. She wasn't planning to let him be aware of her affair with Shen Zichen yet. But maybe this would make it easier for her, as she wouldn't have to do anything for Mu Jianyu to naturally loath Shen Zichen more than he already did. 

The more time she spent with Shen Zichen while he wasn't around, the more Mu Jianyu would be driven with jealousy. Would he confront 'Ying' about it or will he pretend to be oblivious to what he was seeing? 

A devious smile curled on Li Chuntao's lips. She couldn't wait to see Mu Jianyu's reaction later. 

Seeing her smiling like this, Shen Zichen knew that she was planning something cruel again. This was one of those rare times he liked seeing Li Chuntao with this particular smile. Although it meant misfortune for another person, Shen Zichen found it beguiling. 

His hand reached up and pulled her face towards him. He kissed her lightly, liking the way she was smelling like his shower gel. His scent strongly permeated her and he liked it. Other people might not be able to see the marks he'd left on her body, but Shen Zichen let himself be satisfied knowing a part of him was imprinted on her even if it wouldn't stay for a long time. 

"We're never going to finish cleaning and organizing your home at this rate," Li Chuntao said once he released her lips and placed a kiss on her temple instead. 

"Miss Li, all of that can wait, but I can't." He grinned mischievously and pushed her down to the couch, holding her wrist above her head.
