Chapter 17: To Have Dumplings

The more she thought about it, the angrier Ye got. She even blamed herself for being so kindhearted as to cook him dumplings!?

She should have added a.r.s.enic in the dumplings!

She might have as well poisoned him to death.

But if she had really done that, it would be only harder for her to find about her father's disappearance.

“Alas.” Ye sighed a long breath.

Looking at the dumplings which were floating on the boiling water, she didn't hurry to fish them out in time though she was definitely sure they were ready to eat. Instead, she let them boiled to a mush and made it all look like a bowl of wonton soup, with only its skin visible in the water.

Anyway, she wasn't intended to make everything go smoothly for him.

When she brought such a bowl of strange stuff to Mu, his face went as dark as the black bottom of the pot.

“Are you sure this is for human?”

“Suit yourself.” Ye rolled her eyes at him.

Then she looked at the soup in her hand and cursed him angrily, “Then you deserve the pain.”

She also felt hungry, so she just ate it herself. She had lived a rough life before, and such kind of mushed dumplings wasn't something so much unacceptable to her.

Tsk. Tsk. She smacked her lips deliciously.

With her eyes looking sideways at Mu, who was sitting beside with a long face, Ye didn't forget to boast about how delicious it tasted.

“Wow, so yummy.”

Mu narrowed his cold eyes slightly, with fingertips pressed hard against his stomach. But even if he exerted great strength, the pain in his stomach became severer and much more unbearable.

He didn't have any strength left at all.

“Hand me the medicine.”

It was lying on the table. Ye had a look at it and another at the man sitting next to her.

“Haven't you noticed that I'm busy eating now.”

“You!”

He got hopping mad and it caused the pain to spread all over his body.

“Well …”

On sight of the sweat on his forehead out of the corner of her eyes, she became softhearted again.

“Well …” She hesitated for a moment before scooping up half a dumpling which still got its original shape, and putting it near Mu's mouth.

“You can only take the medicine after eating the dumplings.”

With eyebrows raised and tightened, Mu simply opened his mouth and swallowed it.

Together with the warm soup, it went down into his stomach, making him feel a lot more comfortable.

Although it looked “ugly”, the dumpling tasted no less delicious.

Seeing his gradually easing eyebrows, Ye could not help getting started again.

“Wasn't somebody saying it wasn't food for human just now. I see he's having a good meal now …”

His eyebrows twitched as he listened to her.

Mu originally planned to unleash his anger, but as soon as he looked down, he met her little face which was full of grievance and resentment.

She was so close that the smell of her body lingered on the tip of his nose.

It was a faint smell of milk without any flavor -- the purest kind which belonged to girls fundamentally.

Mu Tingchen could not help but recall that sleepless night.

It was the same kind of smell that had possessed him and made him reluctant to leave.

While he thought in this way, tenderness had slowly taken place of the original coldness in his eyes.

“I want more.”

Ye rolled her eyes at him, and just scooped another share and swallowed it herself, totally ignoring his request.

“I've used that spoon.”

Ye was slightly stunned by his words, and she swiftly disputed it without having a second thought.

“Wasn't you using the one I used just now?”

Mu licked his lips and seemed to have an aftertaste.

At last, he said in a flirting tone, “Well, I taste out your smell.”

Ye flushed with regret at her silliness of walking right into the trap.

“All right, you can take your medicine now. I'm leaving.”

She didn't want to spend one more second with this pervert!
