12: Unacceptable

Mu Tingchen did not turn her down. Instead, he just looked at her with cold eyes.

“You were just trying to find out the whereabouts of Mr. Ye for helping Mrs. Ye and rescuing Ye s.h.i.+wei out of the Charm Clubhouse, right?”

As soon as Li finished, Mu’s face darkened in an instant, showing frightening gloom and fierceness between his eyebrows.

His voice was also piercingly cold.

“Who gives you the right to read my mind?”

Li Haina was so frightened that her palms sweated. She hurriedly apologized, “Sor … sorry …” And immediately she tried to show her goodwill, “It’s only because I like Mr. Mu, so I care about your att.i.tude towards that Ye s.h.i.+wei. I … I’m just jealous.”

Ye s.h.i.+wei’s name kept b.u.mping into Mu’s mind, making him very annoyed.

With a gloomy face, Mu lay his deep eyes on the woman in front of him.

“I thought you said you were going to take a bath.”

Li’s eyes lit up, “Hmm! Can I go now?!”

Mu nodded.

Li prepared to run up to the second floor excitedly.

Throughout the day, she had already found out that Mu’s bedroom and study were both on the second floor, and the bathroom must be connected to his bedroom.

“Wait a minute.” The cold male voice sounded again. “Bath in the bathroom of the guest room on the first floor.”

Mu Tingchen never let anyone into his room.

Although she was unwilling, Li did as he asked obediently.

She thought that Mu’s approval was due to her earlier explanation of love to him, but she would never know what was on the person’s mind, who was sitting close-eyed in the living room for a rest.

An hour had pa.s.sed, but Mu still sat on the sofa closing his eyes. The figure of him resembled an ancient G.o.d in a painting in such a chilly but n.o.ble surroundings.

He slowly opened his eyes when he heard the door of the guest room open.

Remaining tenderness diffused all out of his dark pupils at the moment he opened his eyes.

He recalled up the image of that shy and stubborn girl again.

Then the tenderness was gradually taken place by the usual coldness.

For him, nothing in the world was irreplaceable.

And no one would be the only for him.

As the milk smell approached nearer, Mu squinted his eyes slightly and saw Li Haina, who hurried out in only a thin bathrobe.

“Boss Mu, I can’t find the hair dryer.”

Li Haina was gasping for breath, with her breast heaving ups and downs. Moreover, when she walked to where Mu sat, she faked an accidental fall to Mu’s body.

“Ouch!”

Her delicate body fell consequently into the man’s arms. The fair skin and flushed faces of her, and her dripping hair …

Those would generally be an irresistible charm for any man.

But Mu felt sick from the bottom of his heart. He couldn’t help frowning, with full of disgust in his eyes.

He stood up straight, and pushed her away to the ground regardless.

“Go to bed early if you finished the bath. I’ll have Fang Ze take you home tomorrow morning.”

Stunned on the spot, Li felt cold all over.

“Mu …”

Before she could call out his full name, the man had already quickly walked upstairs.

What had she done wrong?

She was almost there! She was almost gonna become Mrs. Mu! Why was she rejected at last?!

He disliked her in heavy make-up last time.

She switched to light make-up, but he still held that disliking face!

Why on earth was it?!

Li lay in the s.p.a.cious but deserted guest room, unable to sleep all night.

How could she put up with his humiliation again and again if it wasn’t because she dearly wanted to marry Mu Tingchen?

He could choose to marry her and cancel their marriage on his own mood. And today it was even more …

She hated him … But the more she hated him … the more she wanted that man.

The time ticked, and in a twinkling of an eye it was already in the morning.

Fang Ze came to knock on her door very early.

“Miss Li, I’ll wait for you at the gate of the yard. You can come out as soon as you’re ready, and I’ll take you back home.”

“Hmm, he was really doing his job quite well for coming to drive me out so early.”

“I’ll just dillydally and let this stupid driver wait!”

Li Haina thought to herself.

It was 8:30 in the morning when Ye s.h.i.+wei got out of a taxi at the gate of Dihao Garden.

Not just anybody could enter such rich neighborhoods.

The security guard was asking her ident.i.ty when the gate suddenly opened.

The pitch-dark Rolls-Royce slowly drove out of the yard and stopped beside Ye s.h.i.+wei.
