Chapter 17

Shen Tianyu then turned around and left the Garden . Su Yuan, who had been unmoving in his lovers arms looked up at him with a questioning gaze .

"It was nothing . There's no need for you to worry . " Che s.h.i.+an a.s.sured him as he stroked his soft hair . Su Yuan then looked down . Remembering what the girl had just whispered to him . Che s.h.i.+an looked at Su Yuan with a sincere expression . Sensing the gaze from above him, Su Yuan looked up and seeing the sincere expression oh his beloved's face, he tried looking down, but Che s.h.i.+an caught his chin .

"Yuan . . . " Su Yuan looked away and balled his hands into fists at his sides . Seeing this, Che s.h.i.+an let go of his chin .

"Let's go further in to talk . " Che s.h.i.+an led Su Yuan into the Aster Garden , his hands around the other's waist and Su Yuan followed .

. . .

Shen Tiayu peeked around the wall, watching them walk further away . Partially out of worry and partially out of curiosity, she had walked towards the direction of the Main Hall before rounding back to the Garden . Though she could hear even if she went inside, there was so much annoying background noise, so she hid behind the wall to watch them . 'I can just listen in on them from here . '

. . .

Arriving at a remote spot in the Garden, Che s.h.i.+na stopped and turned towards Su Yuan again . Again, Su Yuan tried to avoid his gaze but his chin was caught .

"Yuan . . . Why won't you look at me? Do you not like me anymore? I'm sorry I couldn't protect you . Will you please forgive me?" His sad voice and words drew Su Yuan's eyes . He raised his hands and grabbed the front of his clothes .

"No! That's not it! That's not it . . . " Su Yuan trailed off as he cast his gaze away again . "I . . . just . . . I don't think . . . I am worthy . . . " He said haltingly .

"Worthy of what?" Che Shain pressed, using his other arm to hug Su Yuan, holding him in place, afraid he'd run away .

"I . . . I could have pushed him away . . . I could have called louder . It was my fault . I'm sorry . I'm sorry . " Su Yuan started crying as he kept apologizing .

"Yuan . . . Yuan . It is not your fault . You resisted the best you could . It's not your fault . No matter what, I love you, Yuan . " Che s.h.i.+an comforted him and professing his love just as the girl told him to .

"But I . . . I was almost . . . "

"I love you, Yuan"

"Even if . . . "

"Even if something had happened, I will still love you . Yuan, you are my other half . I will always love you . "

"s.h.i.+an . . . " Su Yuan slowly stopped crying . "Yuan . . . " Che s.h.i.+an used his thumb of the hand holding his chin to wipe the remaining tears in his eyes . After retreating his thumb, he leaned forward and kissed his red eyes on the eyelid . Then, he planted a light, soft kiss on Su Yuan's lips .

"s.h.i.+an, do you really?"

"Of course . I'll say it as many times as you want, until you believe it . Yuan, I love you . " He then pressed his lips against Su Yuan's and kisses him deeply .

. . .

At this point, Shen Tianyu decided to leave . 'Well, I guess they'll be fine now . Have to respect their privacy, I've pried enough . Right . Their privacy . They are people, this is not a yaoi manga . ' 1 She then straightened herself and stretched . 'I need to find Sung Ming and report this now . Where is Sung Ming . ' She then stood still and closed her eyes, a concentrated look on her face . She listened, picking through all the noise, looking for Sung Ming's voice .

This was the "gift" given to her by the Wind Shrine, what would be categorized as a scouting skill in role-playing-games . She can weave spiritual power into her words to send a message . And if she merely wanted to find some information, or someone's voice, she merely has to concentrate on her ears to listen . The phrase that was sent to her mind, along with the gift was: "Wind is everywhere . And therefore, you are everywhere . " It definitely sounded way too G.o.dly and Shen Tianyu was an atheist, but she understood the message it was trying to convey . This was a gift from the Wind Shrine, so it makes use of wind . And since, Wind was everywhere, that meant she could get information and send it with the help of the element . It wasn't actually all that G.o.dly, but it was certainly convenient . However, she can only hear voices, so if someone is not speaking, she won't be able to locate them . She can't hear minute details like breathing, it would be creepy if she did .

After listening for a few seconds, she heard Sung Ming talking with Mu Shenchou in the conference room, or office . Opening her eyes, she headed there through a side entrance, she didn't want to meet the hecklers again .

As she entered the room, Shen Tianyu closed the door behind her and walked to the front of the table .

"Sung Ming, did you hear the small commotion at the end of the floor?"

"No . Did something happen?" Sung Ming put on a serious face .

"Su Yuan almost got raped in the furthest guest room by Wen family's b.a.s.t.a.r.d son, Wen Ruocheng . I took him to see Che s.h.i.+an, they're working things out now . "

Sung Ming's face took on a severe look . "The Wen family is certainly great . Even the emperor has to obey our rules here, but their Young Master actually dared to break our rule?"

In actuality, Lavender Palace didn't have that many rules . There were only 2: Don't cause a disturbance to other customers; and Treat our employees with respect . As for selling, sellers can do appointments or walk-ins and the sale is decided by the Manager or Vice-Manager . As for the workers, they merely need to do their respective jobs, there's always one day off a month, at the least, for them to do what they want .

"Or maybe the b.a.s.t.a.r.d doesn't have a mind so he doesn't know how to follow rules?" Shen Tinayu mocked .

"Or perhaps, his family always gets him out of trouble so he's gotten used to it?" Mu Shenchou, who had been standing silently to the side, offered .

"Either way, we need to deal with him, and maybe even the entire Wen family . "
