Jungkook and his girlfriend had talked about this. "Kookie...I'm sorry..." tilting his head to the side like a cute bunny while drinking his milkshake.

"Why are you sorry? Did you ruin one of my blue speakers?"

"No..."

"Then why are you sorry?"

"I want to...break up"

Jungkook freezes while trying to get over her statement. "Ah- jinja, please don't joke around-" he smiles like it was a joke.

"I'm not joking...let's break up, Jungkook"

"I'll never forget us..."

Jung kook's smile becomes stiff as he lowers his head. She grabs her things and left him. Jungkook was stuck in his thoughts, not facing reality. He stuttered away to where ever his foot took him. Jungkook wanted to let go but he didn't want to let her go even though he has to. Jungkook forcibly pressed his feelings down while silently crying.

The next day, Jungkook gets ready to go to work, he pa.s.sed by the cafe and saw her with another man. His tears build up but he quickened his steps, trying to avoid anyone seeing his tears. Everyone needs to go their own paths...and he was not an exception.

He knows that she doesn't have any feelings towards him, he feels sad seeing her smile brightly with another man but fate was playing him. She was just another women he had dated...but why was he feeling so...lonely without her. They went through life and death to be separated and go different paths. Jungkook had to let her go because he knows that she was like a bird in a cage. He had to let her go because that was what she wanted.

They weren't like before, their realations.h.i.+p had sunk to the bottom and couldn't be repaired.

Jungkook stopped in front of a tall building. His eyes were dimmed and his mind was blank. He walked in the building to see many workers bow slightly before going back to work, a women came up to him. "CEO Jeon, good morning" his a.s.sistant bowed. Jungkook made us way to the elevator. "CEO Jeon, there seems to be more work" Jungkook slightly nods his head before silence filled the elevator. Jungkook sat on his office chair before doing his work.

Jungkook did all his work, watched many auditions and stuff. His pile of work was done, "CEO Jeon, everything's done"

"What's for tomorrow?"

"You have bussiness meetings to make up for last month," his a.s.sistant quietly said.

"Good, let's do it today, call them"

"Yes sir"

Jungkook buried himself in loads of work to hide his pain and forget about it temporarily. Jungkook picked up his phone and was about to press on his girlfriend's phone but remembered about their break up. Jungkook was fighting on weither or not to call her. He ends up not calling to stop his feelings.

He wanted to forget everything but his heart wouldn't allow him to. He wanted to go back to when they were together but the reality was harsh.

He finally came back home. His heart and mind were full of the girl's happy face. He wanted to stop this feeling but he was obviously still missing her. He went on her insta page to see a picture of her and her new lover. Jungkook turned his phone off and decides to let go. Her smile and crescent eyes were bewitching but he was happy for her. His heart hurts but he is happy for her.

-many years later- (3 years)

*boop boop boop*

Jungkook's phone ranged as he was still in a meeting, he was going to turn his phone off when he saw the caller's ID. The shareholders looked at him, "CEO Jeon?"

"The meeting is canceled," Jungkook said as he got out of the room to go to his office.

"Jungkook, are you busy?" Jungkook picked up the call to hear the voice he missed.

"No, do you need anything?" Jungkook said gently with sadness in his eyes.

"No...I just miss you," her voice slurred as she talked

'She's probably drunk' Jungkook thought as he slightly laughs

"Have you been well? Have you moved on?" Jungkook questioned her in her drunken state.

"Of course I've been well, I'm married!"

Jungkook's heart shattered, "o-oh...that's nice..."

They talked for a few minutes before the call ended.

Jungkook sighed, "why is my red string entangled with itself?" He thought that she was his fate, but it wasn't. His tears dwelled in his eyes as he sat in his chair. His a.s.sistant knocked on the door. Jungkook quickly cleans his eyes from tears and clear his throat.

"Come in," his voice was hoa.r.s.e but still a bit the same. "Jungkook sir, you're happy that we got the company to a higher valued place right?" The a.s.sistant said with a happy face. Jungkook cheerfully smiled, "of course!" His fake smile was to cover his sad state.

Jungkook thought of the memories they had together. The beautiful moment they shared and the path they walked down together. She should never forget them. And becuase he has those memories... He lets her go.
