Chapter 3629 Hive

"You are going to the colored place, right?" he asked. "Yes," I replied.

"I am going there too. You can wait. I will come back on this side and inform you of what I had seen there," he said, to which I shook my head.

"I want to see it in my own eyes," I replied.

"I will not stop you and you seemed to have an incredible stealth method. You should be fine, as long as you didn't come across any danger like a cultist," he said.

"Thank you, Sky Sovereign," he replied and moved.

"Wait, Sky Sovereign," I said, stopping him. He stopped and arched his brow.

Instead of replying, I took out the storage and gave it to him. "I have prepared these few things. They might help you against the critter," he was surprised, but he nodded.

"I will use them if the need arises," he said and disappeared.

I could barely sense him and after a second and a half, he had already disappeared from my soul sense.

I didn't stay on my spot and moved toward the colored place.

I could have stayed back as the Sky Sovereign had asked; it would have been much safer, but I want to look with my own eyes and be glad that he accepted it, believing in my abilities.

He had killed the critter, not far away, and many other critters, on the way, as I didn't sense any.

Seeing that, I increased my speed.

The colored place begins to get closer and closer, till I can see that it is really a forest. A strange forest, like not many forests, that has so many colorful trees.

It reminded me of the psychedelic ruin I had visited when I was in my world; it had colorful trees like this.

However, I am sure both of these forests are starkly different, and one of the big differences is that this forest is small. It is covering a large area but is still smaller than the forest covering the wh.o.r.e realm.

An hour pa.s.sed and then another and in these two hours, I had only come across three critters, and I had only come across three in the last ten minutes.

The Sky Sovereign had smoothened my path, clearing the critters, but he also made me a little angry. I wish he could have left them; the seedling inside me would have enjoyed them.

More importantly, I would have gotten more growth energy.

I quickly pushed that thought and focused on the forest ahead of me. I would reach it in a little more than an hour.

I could already sense the two more critters and, like the three, I had fought. These two are also Earth-Sovereign critters.

If I am not wrong, they are patrolling critters. The first layer patrol formed from sovereigns, while the second formed from the Earth Sovereigns.

These are just the protection outside of the forest. Inside, it would be far denser, and especially near the hive. I am not very sure. There is a hive, the question is, whether it is the hive that we want.

In some pods, there is only one hive. In others, with one being the central one. I had to see which one it was.

If it is not the one, we want; there is no need for us to mess around it.

I reached the critters and killed them within a second, before pulling them into my core, before moving ahead.

The rubies are very helpful. They are sealing everything in the area, I had fought and also wiping away all the proofs of the battle.

I had to kill eight of the critters before I had reached the forest and when I saw it; I could only smile.

"The entire forest is a hive; I could see critters everywhere and not all of them were active. 99% of them are in the coc.o.o.n, in a deep sleep.

They do this to conserve energy. There is a limited amount of food here and everywhere is active.

They all would starve to death within a few seconds.

It looked very creepy, and I didn't want to enter inside it, but I did.

I want to see it inside. Only by knowing the enemy will I be able to practice dealing with it effectively.

So, I stepped inside and immediately felt all the hair on my standing up, but I didn't stop and continued moving slowly with my stealth at full power.

I could sense all levels of critters inside, not only the Sovereigns and Earth Sovereigns. There are also Primary; most of them are primary, which is not surprising, seeing they are in every corner of this forest.

Over an hour pa.s.sed, and I had entered a few miles into the forest. Now, the number of the Earth Sovereigns had started to increase.

The closer one gets to the horde, the stronger the enemies would become.

Hun!

A few more minutes pa.s.sed, and suddenly my soul waves detected something that froze me on my spot.

I had sensed a critter, not any normal critter, but a Sky Sovereign one.

I first thought it was a hive-queen, but it is not. It looked like any other critter, except for the bigger size and more powerful.

The hive-queen is different if the information in the books is to be believed.

This one seemed to be patrolling, and I didn't do anything that would make me discover it. Still, I remained on my spot, frozen for nearly fifteen minutes, before daring to move.

I wanted to go back, but I didn't. Instead, I moved forward toward the center.

Another hour pa.s.sed, and I reached very close, that I could sense nothing but the Earth Sovereign critters around me.

I have never been around so much earth Sovereign and it scared the h.e.l.l out of me.

It is not just Earth Sovereign, but I have also sensed nine Sky Sovereign critters.

Hun!

That's why when Sky Sovereign Mrenin appeared. It scared me so much, that I nearly broke out my stealth in fear.
