Chapter 2834 Helping I

An hour pa.s.sed, and everything seemed to be going smoothly, but the process had just begun; the resources had gone inside and got swallowed by his core while the connection to the source was opening above him.

I am looking at his meta-scan, and there seemed to be no problem; I could not see the slightest rejection as they merged with him.

There did not seem to be any problem with inheritance either; it secured the connection with the source; within a few minutes, the connection would stabilize, and source energies would come out.

The process is seemed to be the same as the other level up in the Tyrant stage, and it is 90%. It had one stage that others did not, the most dangerous, but many people who attempt the breakthrough are never able to reach that part; they fail before that.

The rate of failure is extremely high, and it is due to this high failure rate; people only try when they are confident, and even then, most fail.

While everything has been going smoothly till now, things could go bad at any time. I have heard of cases where everything had gone smoothly to the end before all collapsed

"The source had appeared," said Lord Normanhappily as the source had stabilized and began to pour out of energies so thick and powerful that I wanted to get my hands on them. I immediately ordered my seed inside Bishop to collect some of it.

The source power I had collected from the Grand Commander had been extremely useful; it had helped me a lot with my research, and I am sure this will too.

I watched as the source poured out a thick amount of purple-grey color; it is metallic in nature, and when on concentrate on it, it felt like millions of sharp blades hovering around them; it is a very suppressive feeling.

Soon it covered the whole formation that now only the silhouette of the bishop could be seen inside.

Another few minutes pa.s.sed, and Bishop began to absorb the energy; like the resources, most of it had gone toward its core, which began to absorb it all hungrily.

My seed inside him had also acted and collected the sample I needed; seeing that, a smile couldn't help but appear on my face.

"Everything is going great for the leader. If it continued like this, then the leader would succeed," said Lord Normanas he looked at the process with glittering eyes.

I did not say anything, just watched; it is not a breakthrough on which I could comment. I have already given the odd and did not want to say anything further, lest I am wrong.

If it had been a Grandmaster breakthrough or a High-Grandmaster one, I would have already been able to tell whether the host would succeed or not or what kind of strength I would have after the breakthrough, but now, everything is too difficult.

Or too easy?

From what I could see, everything was going on smoothly, and I could not see the slightest problem with the breakthrough.

Bishop's preparations seemed to be impeccable; he checked every box and used the resources that synergized with him perfectly. If one looked, one would not see even the slightest problem with it, and still, despite that, I couldn't shake the feeling.

I felt like Bishop was walking on the thin edge, and anything could go wrong at any moment.

Maybe it is my instinct, letting me feel what I could not see, or just the feeling projected from the hate I have for this man; I don't know.

Time pa.s.sed as more and more energy poured out of the source, and whatever came, Bishop's core would absorb it all. There did not seem to be a limit; there is, but it is quite big. From what I have read, the core absorbed the energies of the source for hours before they stopped.

My breakthrough would be different than theirs; unlike those with Inheritance and Bloodline, I do not have any kind of source that will provide me with an immense amount of energies.

I will have to provide the energy for my own; usually, it is worldly energy, and I will use it, but it is not enough. I would need something more; thankfully, I have prepared for it.

I have made every preparation; the only thing I need to do is to be ready for the inheritance. The moment I did, I could start my breakthrough, and seeing Bishop breaking through, I also wanted to do the same.

Another hour pa.s.sed, and Bishop was now accepting more energies; every human was watching, and many Grimms.

One could see the immense hate in their eyes, and if this hadn't been the safe zone, they would use everything they had to stop the breakthrough.

A Grand Lord is a being that has the power to tip the scales of war; those who have more Grand Lords the greater chances they have won it.

Hun!

Suddenly, I opened my eyes, and a moment later, the change felt everyone; the expressions on the human face became grave, while smiles appeared on the faces of Grimms.

The smooth process was broken, and instability appeared, and it was so big that it could be sensed by everyone.

"Leader!" Lord Normanscreamed loudly as he watched the instability with shocked grave eyes. It is not the only one who is shocked. I am too shocked, too, because one moment, everything was going smoothly, and the next moment, the core became unstable.

I looked at the chaos around me and sighed before my armor appeared on my body; the armor was thicker than usual for greater protection.

I also took out the bottle with a red liquid and poured it over me, which spread around my armor, forming a layer of a red-clay around it.

"Grandmaster," said Lord Normanpleadingly; "I hate the b.a.s.t.a.r.d, but I will try my all to help him," I said, and the next moment, to the shock of an old man; runes came out of my hand and stuck protective formation.

Buzz!

The formation buzzed and formed a door, through which I walked inside.

I had not been just watching but also solving the formation, which was not easy, but not hard either.

I stepped through the gate and entered the formation and immediately felt the power of source energy pressing around me.

It felt like I was getting crushed under the weight of the thousands of blades.

It froze me that I was not able to move for a couple of seconds. If it were not for the rapidly deteriorating condition of the Bishop that had forced me to gather all my willpower and take a step forward, I would have remained frozen for G.o.d knows how long.

I hate this b.a.s.t.a.r.d, but imperative that it succeeds in its breakthrough. I don't know whether I will be able to help it or not, but I will have to try, even if there is the slightest chance.

His success will give us a Grand Lord, and I will help him with everything I can.

Though I really wished it hadn't been this b.a.s.t.a.r.d but someone else, it would have made me a lot more enthusiastic about helping.
